あの事件の真相を申しあげます。

当時、あの事件は世間を大いに騒がせました。
そもそも事件そのものが異常でした。

あまりに異常なので、これは事件ではないのではないか　
という意見すらあったほどです。

しかし、あまりに話題になってしまったため　
いまさら事件でない、とは言えなくなったのです。

そういうわけで事件として扱われましたが　
じつは、あれは事件でもなんでもなかったのです。

ただの噂でした。

そういうことが起こりそうだ、という予感。
そういうことが起こったら嫌だな、という気分。
そういうことが起こったのではないか、という憶測。
そういうことが起こっても不思議ではない、という確信。

そして、そういうことが起こってしまった、という妄想。

その噂になんらかの価値を見出した者たちが　
まるで噂ではなく事実であるかのように広めたのです。

その判断基準は、それが事実かどうかではなく　
面白いかどうかの興味本位だったはずです。

なぜなら、なんら証拠もないのに　
あれほど話題になり、事件にさえなったのですから。

派生的な結果として、死者が出る事態になりました。

しかし、たとえまったくなにも起こらないとしても　
ある一定の割合で死者は自然発生するものです。

そのような確率的な現象を因果的必然と同一視する危険性は　
現代人が回避せねばならない常識のはずです。

なにはともあれ、ただの噂は事件として仕立て上げられ　
異常な事件として処理されてしまいました。

これが事件の真相です。

つまり、なにもなかったのです。

As a consequential result, the dead came out.

However, even if nothing happens,
deaths occur naturally at a certain rate.

The danger of equating such stochastic phenomena
with causal inevitability should be common sense
that modern people must avoid.

Anyway, just the rumor was made up
as the incident and treated as an unusual incident.

This is the truth of the incident.

In other words, there was nothing.
