実験投稿 記事内容全文英文で書いてみた ESLとELSの違いについて

Hi everyone, this is University Researcher H

Is there anyone who is studying English within note?

Is there anyone who understands proficient level of English?

Today, I will do an experiment writing an article in English

I am not sure what I should talk about in English,

but it might be interesting for some people to hear about

the English as a Second Language (ESL) and the English Language School (ELS) in the US

ELS in Saint Louis

ESL in Saint Louis University (In the case of my school)

Then, people might wonder what are differences between the ESL and the ELS???

I attended both English training programmes, and my understanding about them is that, the ELS is a private company teaching English to anyone who paid programme fees, but the ESL is a school program which teaches English to registered students.

So, I felt that, because of the above reason, there was a big difference in difficulty of those two English programmes. ESL was harder than ELS. ESL is for training prospect international students to survive American school, while ELS is for anyone who wants to learn English.

Yet, there are pros and cons to both English programmes. For example, if you are not a student registered in  any of school, you can't participate in the ESL programme, but you can in the case of the ELS programme. The ESL programme was really intense so that you have to work hard everyday. I felt that the ELS programme was more relaxed, focusing more on developing friendly communities between ELS students as friends or as a team. So, I had more time spending with talking and practicing English conversations with other students at ELS, but I focused more on understanding and improving a fundamental level of listening and writing skills, expressing (i.e. presenting) own ideas, etc in English to other students at ESL. We, as ESL students, enjoyed and played during breaks (there were some 10-15min break between classes), at lunch times or after the programme.

I think both programmes are great, but you should have known already, which programme you are interested if you want to learn English.
