As a relatively new wet shaver, I’ve been envious of those of you with large arsenals of supplies. I’m working through a variety of combinations and this week I found out what all the fuss over Nacet blades was about.

I still have a few more blade samples to work through including Feathers, but, I’m tempted to stop here! On second thought, now. The experimentation is half the fun!

1. Rex Ambassador Double Edge Safety Razor

I have been thinking about this razor for a while. I have seen a lot of used ones for sale lately. Seems people either love or hate them. To be honest, I have a Rex ambassador and it’s the best electric shaver 2021 ever.

Very versatile and you can definitely feel the quality of it. I change plates mid shave on my 6C every time I use it and it's really not difficult or time-consuming once you've done it a few times.

If you really want a true adjustable then maybe it's worth the money, but it seems to me you already have a razor with the ability to have different settings. Just need to get a few more plates. Would cost less I would think than a $200+ Rex Ambassador.

I had this experience with Treet blades. I've found that as my technique got better, blades that I didn't care for are not as bad as they once were. 

I am now using a Rockwell razor and most blades perform very well in that. Still have my favs though. I need to try Nacets, heard they are nice!

2. Rockwell R1 razor

I have this razor for about a month now I have shaved about fifteen times and it has lived up to all that other positive reviewers have said about this razor. Yes, it is pricy but it is a well made all around the razor. One great feature is adjustable.

I also own the Rockwell model T the Rockwell C and the Merkur Futur. Al great razors in my arsenal.

Are expensive electric shavers worth it? More recently, by far the best razor I’d used was the Rex Ambassador razor and I rank the Rex Ambassador on top of this list. If you have the money to buy it I highly recommend it.
