またしばらくするとわたしを見ます
After a little while you will see me

さて私達は今年のはじめから「主の祭り」にフォーカス をあてて、御言葉を学んでいます。最初の祭りは過ぎ越しの祭りであり、今日はちょうど七週の祭りの日となります。ルツ記の物語が丁度この祭りの時期と重なるので、私達も先週まで、6回にわたってルツ記を読んできました。

We are learning God’s Word by focusing on the “Festival of the Lord” this year. The first festival is the Passover, and today is the exact date of the second Festival :“Festival of the weeks”. The story of Ruth was at this period. So, we have confirmed the story of Ruth for six weeks.

この書の中核的なメッセージは、ボアズが買い戻しの権利のある者としてルツを贖い、そして花嫁として迎えたことでした。そしてこの事は 単なる昔話ではなく、キリストと教会（私達）の型であるという事を確認しました。使徒パウロはこう語っています。

The core message of Ruth was that Guardian Redeemer Boaz redeemed Ruth, and accepted her as his bride. And we confirmed that it is not just one of the old stories, but it shows us the relationship between Christ and us. Apostle Paul said like this...

エペソ5:31「それゆえ、人はその父と母を 離れ、妻と結ばれ、ふたりは一心同体と なる。」32この奥義は偉大です。私は、キリストと教会とをさして言っているの です。

Ephesians 5:31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.

ルツは夫を失った悲しみ、遠い異国の地で暮らさなければならない寂しさ、食べる者のない貧しさ、落穂拾いの過酷な労働と、 様々な苦難を経験しました。

Ruth lost her husband, had to live in a foreign country apart from her family, had to undergo poverty, and had to do hard work gleaning.

しかし彼女はボアズによって贖われ、守られ、これら全ての苦難は消え去り、ボアズと結ばれて、祝福された者となりました。同様に、私達の主 キリストは私達の罪を贖って下さっただけでな く、やがて私達を天で花嫁として迎えて下さい ます。これは私達キリスト者の希望です。

But she was redeemed and protected by Boaz. And all of these hardships were gone, married Boaz, and became a blessed woman. Likewise, Christ Jesus redeemed all our sins, and not only that, he accepts us as his bride. This is the hope of all Christians.

しかし私達はそれまでは主と離れていなければならないという事ではありませ ん。。。 十字架にかかる前、キリストは弟子たちに こう言われました。

But it does not mean we had to be apart from him until then. Before Christ was crucified, He said to his disciples like this...

ヨハネ16:16しばらくするとあなたがた は、もはやわたしを見なくなります。 しかし、またしばらくするとわたし を見ます。」

John16:16 Jesus went on to say, “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”

しかし、この時の弟子たちは、キリストが十字架 で死ぬことを聞いていましたが、全く理解して いませんでした。ですからその後の事は、ます ます分からなかったのです。。。そこで彼らは こう言いました。。。

At this time, the disciples heard that Christ would die on the cross. But they could not understand it. So, furthermore, they could not even imagine what would happen after that. . . That’s why, they said like this...

18そこで、彼らは「しばらくすると、と主が言われるのは何のことだろう か。私たちには主の言われることが わからない。」と言った。

18 They kept asking, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We don’t understand what he is saying.”
ある意味では弟子たちは非常に素直にわか らない事を「わからない」と言いました。それに対してイエス様はこう言われました。

In a sense, the disciples said very honestly like, “We don’t understand what he is saying”. In response, Jesus said like this...

19イエスは、彼らが質問したがっていることを知って、彼らに言われた。「『しばらくするとあなたがたは、わたしを見なくな る。しかし、またしばらくするとわたしを見る。』とわたしが 言ったことについて、互いに論じ合っているのですか。22あな たがたにも、今は悲しみがあるが、わたしはもう一度あなたが たに会います。そうすれば、あなたがたの心は喜びに満たされ ます。そして、その喜びをあなたがたから奪い去る者はありま せん。

19 Jesus saw that they wanted to ask him about this, so he said to them, “Are you asking one another what I meant when I said, ‘In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me’? 22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

今日はこのキリストの言葉に注 目して御言葉を学び、共に主を 礼拝していきたいと思います。
Today, let’s worship God together by focusing of these words of Jesus.

たしかにこの言葉の通り、主はこの後すぐに十字 架につかれ墓に葬られましたので、弟子たちは 「しばらくして」主を「見なく」なりました。

As Jesus himself said, "in a little while", Christ was crucified and buried . So, “In a little while” they would see Christ no more.

そして、少し前に私達は、キリストの復活 を祝いましたが、キリストは死後三日目 に復活されましたので、「またしばらく するとわたしを見る。」という主の言葉も、文字通り成就しました。

And as we celebrated the resurrection of Christ on Easter, Christ resurrected in three days. So, his word “after a little while you will see me” also was fulfilled.

そして彼らは以前のように主と同じ食卓につき、40日も の間、復活された主と共に過ごしました。弟子たちは、 復活の主を直接見たのですから、喜びに満ち溢れたこ とでしょう。

And they sat at the same table with Jesus, ate a meal as they had done before, and spent forty days together. Since they could see the resurrected Jesus directly, they must be filled with joy.

ではこの後弟子たちは、すぐに全世界に出ていき、キリストの十字架の死 の意味と復活を宣べ伝えたでしょう か？
Then, after this, do you think, they went out immediately, and preached the meaning of his death and the fact of resurrection?

なにしろ彼らは復活の主を、直接見て、40日も の間、共にいたのですから、死をも恐れず大胆 になったのではないでしょうか。皆様も、もし も弟子たちと同じ体験をしたら、居ても立って も居られないのではないでしょうか？

Some people might insist that they became very boldly and spread the Gospel because they saw Jesus directly and stayed for forty days. If you have the same experience, you may not be able to be calm.

しかし私達は、聖書を思い起こさなけ ればなりません。弟子たちが「よみがえり」を見たのはこれが初めてで はありませんでした。

But we must recall the Bible. This was not the first time that the disciples saw a "resurrection".

イエス様は死んだナインの町の女性を 起こされました（ルカ7:11 16）

Jesus awoke the woman in the town of Nain (Luke 7:11-16) .

もっと有名な箇所では、マルタやマリ ヤの弟である、ラザロをよみがえら せました。確認してみましょう。

Jesus also awoke Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha. Let’s confirm it.

ヨハネ11:43そして、イエスはそう言われると、大声で叫ばれた。「ラザロよ。出て来なさい。」44すると、死んでいた人が、手と足を長い布で巻かれたままで出 て来た。彼の顔は布切れで包まれていた。イエスは彼らに言われた。「ほどいてやって、帰らせなさい。」 45そこで、マリヤのところに来ていて、イエスがな さったことを見た多くのユダヤ人が、イエスを信じた。

John11:43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”45 Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him.

この時は弟子たちだけでなく、周りにいた大勢 の人々も「イエスを信じた」と書かれています。しかしそれにも関わらず、キリストがローマ兵 に捕まった時には、みな散り散りに逃げて行 きました。ある者は裸で逃げ、ある者は彼を 裏切り、ある者はイエスを三度も知らないと 言いました。

At this time, not only Jesus’ disciples, but also many of the Jews believed in him!! However, when Christ was captured by the Romans, all of them had run away. Some fled naked, some betrayed him, and some said that he did not know Jesus three times.

人はいくら奇跡を体験しても、神の力であ る「死者のよみがえり」を見ても、神様 を深く知る事も、主と心を一つにするこ とも出来ないのです。そしてそのことを 主は御存じだったのです。

No matter how much they experienced miracles and resurrections of death, man can neither know God’s heart, nor make his heart “one” with the Lord. And the Lord knew it.

だからイエス様は、復活されて、天に昇天される時、彼 らにこう言われました。。。 使徒1:4 ...「エルサレムを離れないで、わたしから聞 いた父の約束を待ちなさい。5ヨハネは水でバプテス マを授けたが、もう間もなく、あなたがたは聖霊のバ プテスマを受けるからです。」

That’s why, when Jesus resurrected and ascended to heaven, he said like this. . . Acts1:4 ... “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with[a] water, but in a few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.”

この言葉を聞いた弟子たちは、すぐに 宣教を始めたのではなく、主の言葉 に従いエルサレムに帰りました。。。

When the disciples heard this commandment, they did not start missions immediately, but went to Jerusalem by following his word...

13彼らは町にはいると、泊まっている屋上の間に上がった。この人々は、ペテロとヨハネとヤコブとアンデレ、ピリポとトマス、 バルトロマイとマタイ、アルパヨの子ヤコブと熱心党員シモンとヤコブの子ユダであった。14この人たちは、婦人たちやイエスの母マリヤ、およびイエスの兄弟たちとともに、みな心を合 わせ、祈りに専念していた。

13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

この時、彼らはイエス様の約束を信じて、「みな心を合 わせ、祈りに専念していた。」のです。その結果はどうなったでしょうか。

At this time, They trusted Jesus’ promise, and they all joined together constantly in prayer. What was the result?

使徒2:1　五旬節の日になって、みなが一つ所に集まっていた。 2すると突然、天から、激しい風が吹いてくるような響きが 起こり、彼らのいた家全体に響き渡った。3また、炎のような分かれた舌が現われて、ひとりひとりの上にとどまった。 4すると、みなが聖霊に満たされ、御霊が話させてくださる とおりに、他国のことばで話しだした。

Acts2:When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.

彼らは五旬節の日に、「みなが聖霊に満たされ、御霊が話させてくださるとおりに、他国のこと ばで話しだした。」とあります。このことこそ がイエス様の語られた言葉の成就なのです。
On the day of Pentecost, it is written that “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them”. This very thing was a fulfillment of what Jesus promised.

イエス様は、「しばらくするとあなた がたは、もはやわたしを見なくなり ます。しかし、またしばらくすると わたしを見ます。（ヨハネ16:16）」 と言われました。

Jesus said “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me(John16:16)”.

確かにこの事は主の復活を意味しています が、同時に主が御霊によって弟子たちの 内側に住んで下さることを予見していた のです。それは少し前の箇所を読めば分 かります。。。

Indeed, it means the resurrection of Jesus. But at the same time, it was a promise that the Lord would dwell in the midst of them as a Holy Spirit. You can see it, when you read the previous part.

ヨハネ16:7しかし、わたしは真実を言います。わ たしが去って行くことは、あなたがたにとって 益なのです。それは、もしわたしが去って行か なければ、助け主があなたがたのところに来ないからです。しかし、もし行けば、わたしは助け主をあなたがたのところに遣わします。

John16:7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

主が約束された「助け主」とは聖霊様のことです。 そしてこの話の流れで、「またしばらくすると わたしを見ます。」と語られたのです。

The “Advocate” means the Holy Spirit. And right after Jesus said it, he said “ after a little while you will see me(John16:16)”.

もしも聖書が教えているのが、「使徒たちは復活 した主を見たので、喜びに満ちて大胆に宣教し ました」という話だと、直接主に出会えた人は 良いけれど、今日の私達とは直接関係のない約 束という事になります。

If the Bible teaches that "the apostles could spread the Gospel boldly with joy, since they met the resurrected Jesus”, some may say “oh it must be good for them, but it seems like nothing to do with us”.

しかし先ほど言った通り、使徒たちは 「よみがえり」を見ただけで宣教を開始したのではなく、聖霊に満たさ れてそうしたのです。

But, as I said earlier, the apostles had started their mission, not only because they saw the resurrected Jesus, but also because they were filled with the Holy Spirit!!

確かに、彼らが主の復活を目撃した事は大きなことでした。その 事の故に彼らは喜んだことでしょう。しかし聖霊に満たされた 時、彼らは主が自分の内に住んで下さっていることに気付いた のです。そして「あなたがたの心は喜びに満たされます。そして、その喜びをあなたがたから奪い去る者はありません」とい うキリストの言葉が彼らの上に成就したのです。

Indeed, they were greatly impacted when they saw the resurrected Jesus, and they must have been joyful of it. But when they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they really realized that the Lord was dwelling in them. And the promise that “I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” was fully fulfilled in them.

ルツ記の物語の中心は、ボアズとルツの関係を通して、私達がキリストの花嫁として迎え入れられることを描 いていると言いました。

The core message of Ruth was that as the Guardian Redeemer Boaz redeemed Ruth, and accepted her as his bride. And it shows us the relationship of Christ and us: he accepts us as his bride.

この事は、やがて天で成就することですが、 天でのことは遠い未来の、遠い場所の話ではないのです。何故なら私達はすでに 聖霊によって、主と結ばれているからです。

This will be fulfilled in heaven. But the heavenly things are not the future or distant things. It’s because we are tied with the Lord already through the Holy Spirit.

私達は将来にキリストの花嫁として天に迎えられる希望を与えられていますが、同 時に主は聖霊なるお方として、「今」私 達のただ中に住んで下さっているのです。

We are given the hope that we will be welcomed to heaven as his bride. But at the same time, the Lord have lived in the midst of us as a Holy Spirit as he dwelled in the apostles.

ある方は聖霊に満たされる体験をした ことがないかも知れません。ある方 はかつて聖霊に満たされる体験をしたかもしれません。大切な事は、 「今日」求める事です。

Some of you may have experienced the filling of the Holy Spirit, and some of you may not. But the important thing is seeking it “today".

ルツ記は七週の祭りの時の話でした。そして七週の祭りとは、50 日間を数えて大麦の収穫物を主にささげ終える日です。そして 新約の時代、使徒達はキリストの復活から50日目に聖霊に満たされる経験をしました。それが五旬節の日に起こった事なので す。

The story of Ruth was in the period of the “Festival of Weeks”. This Festival was held on the last day of the fifty days of the barley’s harvest. And in the New Testament period, the apostles experienced the Holy Sprit on the fiftieth day since Jesus’ resurrection. This was what happened on the day of the Pentecost.

その為に彼らがした唯一のことは、泊 まっている屋上の間に上がって「み な心を合わせ、祈りに専念してい た。」ということです。
For that, the only thing the disciples did was “went upstairs to the room” and “joined together constantly in prayer”.

彼らは40日間、復活の主と共にいて、そして祈 り始めて、「五旬節（50日目）」に聖霊に満たされたのですから、10日もの間、彼らは祈りに 専念していたのです。

They were with the resurrected Jesus for forty days, and they were filled with the promised Holy Spirit on the fiftieth day. So it means, they joined together constantly in prayer for ten days long!!

この専念という言葉は、原語 では(真剣に、引き続き)と いう意味です。

The word “constantly” here originally is “earnestly” or “continually” in Greek.

聖霊に満たされる事を(真剣に、引き続 き)求めて祈りましょう。 聖霊を求める事に関しては、非常に有 名な聖書箇所があります。

So, let's also “join together constantly(“earnestly”, “continually”) in prayer” to seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. About seeking the Holy Spirit, Jesus asked us like this...

ルカ11:9わたしは、あなたがたに言います。求め なさい。そうすれば与えられます。捜しなさい。 そうすれば見つかります。たたきなさい。そう すれば開かれます。

Luke11:9“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

これは何も、お金や、地位や、名誉を求め れば与えられるという意味ではありませ ん。これは聖霊を求めなさいというメッ セージなのです。。。すぐ後にこう書いてあります。

This does not mean that you will be given money, position, honor or so on when you seek. This is the message to seek the Holy Spirit. . . Right after this verse, Jesus said like this...

13してみると、あなたがたも、悪い者ではあっても、自分の子どもには良い物を与えることを 知っているのです。とすれば、なおのこと、天 の父が、求める人たちに、どうして聖霊を下さ らないことがありましょう。」

13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

今回韓国へ行って、息子の祖母や曾祖母に会ってきました。彼ら は息子におもちゃを買って くれたり、美味しものを食べさせよ うとしてくれました。ただ言葉が通じないので、何を息子が求 めているのが分からないようでした。

Last week, we went to Korea, and met my wife’s mother, brothers, and grandmother. They tried to give toys, food, drinks and so on to my son. But since my son can’t speak well, they could not understand what my son wanted.

ただ、息子が「ジュース」と言えなくて「シューシュ」 と言っても、彼が求めた時には、皆でそれをすぐに与 えようとしていました。同様に、主は皆様を愛している親のようなお方なので、皆様が求めさえすれば、 「どうして聖霊を下さらないことがありましょう。」 と言われたのです。

However, once they understood even one word like “juice”, immediately they gave it to my son, even though my son’s pronunciation was bad and said “shushu”. In the same way, God is our father who loves you. So, Jesus said “ how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”.

ルツとボアズの話は、はるか昔の遠い他人の物語 ではなく、皆様一人一人と主が永遠に結ばれる 事を意味していました。 そしてその事は天で成就することですが、同時に 私達は聖霊によって、「今」主と結ばれるのです。

The story of Ruth and Boaz was not merely someone else’s old story. It teaches us that we are tied to the Lord for eternity It will be fulfilled in heaven, but at the same time we are united to the Lord “now” through the Holy Spirit.

イエス様が、多くの奇跡と人のよみがえりを弟子たちに 見せても、彼らは主の心を知らず、主と一つ心になることが出来ませんでした。しかし彼らが聖霊に満たさ れると、彼らは主と心を一つにして、大胆に福音を宣 べ伝える者へと変えられました。

Even though Jesus showed many miracles and “resurrections”, his disciples did not know the Lord's heart and did not have one heart with the Lord. But when they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they united with the Lord, and were changed to be the one who boldly preached the gospel.

今日は七週の祭りの日であり、五旬節です。この日、共に聖霊に満たされる事 を求めましょう。そして主の約束の言葉を、使徒達が体験したように体験 する者となりましょう。その時私達は、ルツがボアズと結ばれて祝福され た者となったように、主と結ばれている事を知るでしょう。そして主と一 つ心を持つ者となり、心の内に喜びが満ち溢れるのです。

Today is the exact date of the “Festival of Weeks” and the “Pentecost (fiftieth day)”. On this day, let's seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And let’s be the one who experiences the fulfillment of the Lord promise as the apostles experienced. Then, we will know that we have been united with the Lord, as Ruth became blessed with Boaz. Then, our heart would be one with the Lord. And “you will rejoice”.

私がはじめて聖霊に満たされた体験をしたのは、 中学生のころでした。それまでは神様に対する 信仰はありましたが、漠然としたものでした。 しかし聖霊に満たされた時、私は主が自分の内 にいることが分り、涙が止まりませんでした。

When I was in my middle school age, I experienced being filled with the Holy Spirit. Until that time, I had a vague faith towards God. But when I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I knew that the Lord was in the midst of me, and I could not stop my tears.

でも一度経験すればそれで良いという事でもありません。使徒達 も五旬節の日に一度だけ聖霊に満たされたかと言えば、そんな事はありません。彼らは生涯、聖霊に満たされ続ける事を(真 剣に、引き続き)求め続けました（c.f. 使徒4:31）。最後に今日 の主の約束をもう一度読み、そして共に御霊に満たされる事を 求めて祈りましょう。

But it does not mean, “once you experience it, it is good enough”. The apostles experienced the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. But that was not all. Through their whole life, they constantly (“earnestly”, “continually”) sought it (cf. Acts 4:31). As a last, let’s read the Lord’s promise once again, and let’s “join together constantly (“earnestly”, “continually”) in prayer” to seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

しばらくするとあなたがたは、もはやわたしを見なくなります。しかし、またしばらくするとわたしを見ま す。」「あなたがたにも、今は悲しみがあるが、わたしはもう 一度あなたがたに会います。そうすれば、あなたがた の心は喜びに満たされます。そして、その喜びをあな たがたから奪い去る者はありません。」

John16:16 Jesus went on to say, “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.” So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
