My name is Tracy from Hong kong.
The 2019 Hong kong anti- extradition bill protests and other cities around the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Legislation (Amendment) Bill 2019 proposed by the Hong kong government. On 12 June 2019, the day the government attemped to table the bill for Second reading the protest outside of the government headquartes descended into violent clashes were the price fires tear gas, beanbag rounds and rubber bullets indiscriminately at largely peaceful protests and declared it as a "riot".
The government action sparked controversy over the use of excessive force and policing.
On 16 June 2019, accordinq to claims by the organizers of the protests, a historic record of nearly two million people turned out in demonstratiory against the extradition bill as uell as the people brutality a day afler Chief Exective Camer Lan amouned a pause in the passage of the extradition bilI.
