What kind of company is Runeseikou?

Rune Seiko is a limited company that manufactures and sells strong and easy-to-use chairs, focusing on domestic production. Its processing technology specializing in metal produces tough durability not found in overseas production. We are skilled in products that make use of craftmanship, such as folding chairs and work chairs, and are launching products full of ideas that take the form of the user's thoughts of “I wish I had something like this.”

What is so impressive about Runeseikou?

① A sturdy chair that can be used semi-permanently
In a word, even with the “folding chair” for example, the durability of Rene Seiko’s products is very different from that of other companies. By replacing plastic parts, they are also items that can be used semi-permanently.

② Making chairs with bright ideas
A chair with a seat that swings from side to side so you can exercise while working, and a chair with an adjustable seat height, that you can sit on as low as squatting on the floor. A chair with an elbow rest that can be moved freely, and is easy to lean on... Rune Seiko’s chairs shine with ideas that eliminate that little bit of “I’m tired” that befalls us every day. Prototyping has been repeated for a variety of users, creating many hit products.

Main products we make

Twist Stood Rafflesia
A work chair with a seat that sways to avoid straining your hips. We were originally prototyping a different idea, but by applying that, “a chair that can be used for exercise” was developed. A product that fulfils that idea of being able to move to loosen up stiff hip muscles while staying seated. The series was published and introduced by many media sources.

Inner workings of the factory

① Bending iron pipes with a press machine to produce chair legs

Surprisingly large press machines weighing many tons line up within the factory. Using machines that have been working for decades, iron pipes are bent to create chair legs and backs. The silent state that the skilled craftsmen continue to press seems to make the functional beauty as an industrial product stand out more. 

② Transforming parts to solid objects through welding

Even if it seems to be the same product at first glance, importance is placed on safety. Two automatic welders and craftsman's hands come together, and the bent and stretched iron is welded and transformed into a solid object. In order to make it stronger than other companies, we do not leave it to machine entirely, but thoroughly check it by eye in person.

Rune Seiko works on manufacturing in an honest manner, upholding the safety and security of Japanese domestic manufacture. Thanks to this, the value of domestic chairs once pulled from the market is appreciated again. In addition, their attractiveness has spread outside the country, and has received high praise Western countries.

Rune Seiko chairs are proud to be industrial products, not crafts. They are strong, functional, and convenient, for example with the ability to be folded up, and they are priced so that even young adults can freely purchase them.
Every idea has been put into shape so that it can withstand vigorous use as a real product. There are many idea products in our showroom. Due to our company culture of manufacturing in processed iron and repeated trial and error, we have been able to produce a large number of popular products.

The users we envision vary widely depending on the product. As ideas for places with different lifestyles emerge, we expect that new products not currently in existence will be born.
