Yappli, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Representative Director and CEO: Yasubumi Ihara, hereinafter “Yappli, Inc.”), a company providing a no-code mobile app platform Yappli, announced that Eriko Matsuda has been appointed as Executive Officer and CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), effective as of January 1, 2024.

■ Background

Eriko Matsuda, newly appointed as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), joined Yappli, Inc. as the Vice President of Marketing Department in July 2023.

With a diverse background encompassing positions in IT companies such as Microsoft Japan and various venture companies, Matsuda has acquired extensive experience across a broad spectrum of areas, including digital marketing and event marketing. Her expertise lies in designing marketing communications based on user insights.

As part of our efforts to strengthen our management structure, we are dedicated to advancing Mobile DX to address both corporate and societal challenges while expanding Yappli’s business. The entire team, from executives to employees, is united in its commitment to further improving our services.

■ Profile of Eriko Matsuda

After completing her graduate studies, Matsuda gained experience in various areas such as web development and startup ventures in mobile marketing. She joined DoubleClick Co., Ltd. in 2005, where she served as the Head of the Web Analytics Department, leading the launch and expansion of new businesses. In 2010, she transferred to Transcosmos Co., Ltd. through a merger. 

In 2011, Matsuda joined Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd., assuming various roles including Head of E-Commerce and Direct Marketing for Office 365. During her tenure, she made significant contributions to the fields of digital marketing and event marketing. Following her role as CMO at UPWARD, Inc. in 2022, she joined Yappli, Inc. in 2023.
