Yappli Announces New Features that Empower App Development with Enhanced Creativity and Performance – Higher quality apps made easy for everyone

Yappli, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Representative Director and CEO: Yasubumi Ihara, hereinafter “Yappli, Inc.”), a company providing a no-code mobile app platform Yappli, announced multiple new features at Yappli Summit 2022, an event showcasing evolution of Yappli products, held on October 7, 2022.

■ Yappli’s evolution, embodiment of “Easy”
Yappli now supports over 700 native apps and reached more than 120 million downloads cumulatively. Yappli has a large number of monthly active users, outpacing social media. This growth is supported by continuous improvements to the platform. More than 400 updates and improvements have been made in 2022 so far, already well above what we saw in 2021.

The theme of Yappli Summit 2022 was “&Easy.” Since its foundation, Yappli has always had the goal of making apps, a mobile technology that plays a critical role for the future, easy and simple for everyone to use. 

According to a survey*1 conducted on Yappli’s enterprise clients in July this year, while many respondents saw the benefit of managing apps, only 15% of them were solely dedicated to mobile app operation. The large proportion of respondents who have concurrent responsibilities said that they can only spend up to 20% of their time on managing their companies’ mobile apps. On the other hand, compared with findings from the same survey conducted in 2020, more people are now involved in mobile app operations.

Here are some examples of how new Yappli features announced at Yappli Summit make it easy for everyone to run higher quality apps:

*1 “Working Styles” App Personnel Survey 2022

This app platform significantly facilitates not only app building processes, but also day-to-day operations. With Block UI, design blocks are independent from the data they refer to, so when revising a product name or adding a new product, you only need to make the change once. If users want to modify UI design or change data sources, they can do so immediately whenever they want.

■ Updated CMS facilitates deeper analyses and easier updates

Yappli’s CMS provides support for app management and analyses. It won the Good Design Award 2022 for its freedom and customizability while maintaining an intuitive user interface. It has been updated to enable deeper analyses and more convenient app management.

Yappli’s clients are always adding new features, reviewing UI/UX and making improvements, both big and small, based on their customer feedback and in-app behaviors. These improvements all start with analyses. The revamped dashboard makes it easier to see app use status at a glance, enabling quicker and deeper analyses.

They can review push notifications by the number of characters in a message and by delivery type, which enables them to compare the effectiveness of each campaign based on open rates and subsequent user actions. The coupon status view shows how coupons offered during a campaign are used. They can also see details of a specific coupon.

There are also updates that offer fine-tuned support to Yappli’s clients, including content search, which makes it easy to navigate to and from content, and media finder, which allows easier management of images and other content on Yappli CMS.

■ “Yappli Port,” a user portal site 

In addition to product updates, Yappli clients can also benefit from enriched services that support mobile app operations. Inspired by the seaport, Yappli Port is a place to embark on app projects. It is a portal site available exclusively to Yappli’s clients. Yappli Port offers diverse content including practical know-how that can be integrated into work immediately, meet up events to connect with other Yappli users, and seminars on how to use the Yappli platform.

■Yappli’s scalability expands
Yappli offers integrations and connections with various external solutions for service expansion. With Push API, push notifications from external services such as CRM can be tailored to each user. It currently offers integrations with six services including Yappli CRM.

Another update is integration with Store 360 by Tangerine Inc., Yappli delivers better user experience, for example, by offering points to in-store customers, distributing coupons that can be used at stores, or promoting use of in-store features such as product scanning.  Various other integrations are also in progress, including SDK integration, point reward system integration, login integration with e-commerce website systems, etc.


■ Enhanced security for safer app management
Yappli, Inc. is committed to security as well. To strengthen our information security management system, we have obtained ISMS certification*2 based on international standards. Our recent announcement includes security enhancements that enable access restrictions by IP addresses and two-factor authentication using an authentication app to further strengthen the login security.
