本日は、速記の日。

速記の日（10月28日 記念日）
東京都豊島区高田に事務局を置き、速記の普及・発達を目的とし、速記技能検定の認定などを行う公益社団法人・日本速記協会が制定。
1882年（明治15年）のこの日、田鎖綱紀（たくさり こうき、1854～1938年）が東京・日本橋で初の速記講習会（日本傍聴筆記法講習会）を開催した。この速記法は田鎖が自ら考案したもので、その速さから田鎖は「電筆将軍」と呼ばれた。1888年（明治22年）に、講習会の7周年記念会を開いた時にこの日を「速記記念日」として制定した。
現在では日本速記協会が中心となり、広く速記に関する関心を啓発するため、この日を中心に速記競技会やパネル展示などのイベントが実施される。また、同協会のサイトでは記念日の名称を「速記の日」としている。

速記かはわかりませんが、なんでもメモを取るクセがあります。体調次第で解読不能になるから速記とは言えないかな。笑

昨日紹介した曲「だからDesire」。それに似てると感じた曲を紹介。

Gail Lennon「Desire」

ゲイル・レノンが歌う「Desire」は、1987年、日本で「Takaraバービカン」のCMに使われたシンセポップ(シンセサイザーやシーケンサーなどの電子楽器が中心)。ドキュメンタリー『Computer Dreams』でも使用されている。

1986年に発売が開始された「TaKaRa バービカン」。宝酒造が英国バス・ブリュワリー社(現：アンハイザー・ブッシュ・インベブ社)と提携して開発した「ビールテイスト飲料」(ノンアルコールではない）。

1986年のCM。矢沢栄吉が歌い出演。

ゲイル・レノンは、2013年の映画「We Always Lie to Strangers」に出演した。

『We Always Lie to Strangers』は、アメリカ最大の観光地の一つ、ミズーリ州ブランソンを舞台にした家族、地域、音楽、伝統の物語。
監督のAJ・シュナックとデビッド・ウィルソン、プロデューサーのネイサン・トゥルースデルは、5年かけてブランソンを撮影、そこに暮らす4家族を記録した。経済の不確実性と社会問題に対する変化を背景に「伝統回帰」を描いたという。
ブランソンの魅力は、100以上の音楽ショーが上演され、「世界のライブミュージックの首都」といわれるほど。

ブランソン(Branson)は、アメリカ合衆国ミズーリ州の南部にある都市。市名は1880年代の郵便局長を務め、地域の雑貨屋を営んでいたリューベン・ブランソンからつけられた。
州道76号線カントリー・ブールバードには娯楽の劇場が建ち並び、州道248号線シェパード・オブ・ザ・ヒルズ・イクスプレスウェイもあり、観光地としての人気を高めてきた。

ブランソンで公演する「ザ・ダットンズ」

1959年、ボールドノッバーズ・ジャンボリーがブランソンで初のライブ音楽ショーを開催した。1980年代から劇場がどんどん増え、伝統的なカントリー・ミュージック以外に向けた舞台装置や楽器などを導入。1983年にできたスイス・ビラ円形劇場(2000年代に一旦閉鎖、2010年にブラックオーク・マウンテン円形劇場として再開)は、デフ・レパード、レーナード・スキナード、REOスピードワゴン、ステッペンウルフ、オジー・オズボーンのようなアーティストを招いた。アンディ・ウィリアムスは「ムーン・リバー・シアター」をつくった。日本人も活躍していて、日系アメリカ人のカントリーミュージック歌手でヴァイオリン奏者のショージ・タブチ（田淵章二）、「ボールノーバーズ」でバンジョーとヴァイオリンを受け持ち、ヨーデルの名手でもあるマイク伊藤のふたりがいる。
ショージ・タブチは、2000席を有する「ショージ・タブチ・シアター」(1989年、州道76号線沿いのオザークス自動車博物館を劇場にした)の支配人にもなっており、アメリカン・ドリームを体現したといえる。

劇場が増え、ブランソンでの公演も多いことからテレビ番組『60ミニッツ』で注目された。1991年にブランソンを紹介する番組を放映し、「全宇宙のライブミュージック首都」と呼んだ。
映画『ゴーディ』(1995)、『ある日モテ期がやってきた』(2010)などもブランソンで撮影されている。

ビールのCMだからかな。内面に隠されている情熱・欲望を表に出しています。訳しながらドキドキしてしまった。サビのあたりが「だからDesire」と似てるかなぁと思った。原曲が他にあるみたいだけど、辿れませんでした。

コンピュータドリームスは、ジェフリー・ド・ヴァロワが脚本、制作、監督を務め、アマンダ・ペイズがナレーションを務めたコンピュータグラフィックスアニメーションのクリップと舞台裏の作品。1989年のヒューストン国際映画祭で金特別審査員賞を受賞した。

作中に使用される曲はゲイル・レノン(Gail Lennon)「Desire」「Like A Dream」、シャンディ・シナモン (Shandi Sinnamon)「Making It」

情報がないので、ゲイル・レノンについては調べることができませんでした。テレビを覚えているけど彼女についてはわからないという人も多い。彼女は時にゲイル・ロパタ・レノンやゲイル・ロパタの名で、アメリカ映画の曲を制作し、1990年代はじめまで日本の企画でいくつかレコーディングを行ったようです。他の曲はどんな曲なんでしょうね。
1980年代のディスコ・ブームやテクノ・ミュージック、シティポップなどの影響もあって、聴いたことのある人もいるのでは？
摩天楼がそびえる都会、どこまでも続く広い道路、夜の海岸線、いろんな情景が浮かんできます。オープンカーに乗ってみんなで賑やかに駆け抜けてみたい。掘り出し物の名曲です。
