I took this opportunity to create an environment where we could look back and shared within the team about our recent projects.

We looked into what challenges we faced, what we learned from the projects and what what we enjoyed about it.

Often times when finishing up a project, we share/see only the end results, but there is a whole journey that leads us to the final design.

It’s during our journeys that we learn the most. We are faced with challenges with unknown situations, and by overcoming those challenges is how we grow.

"That knowledge however usually stays within ourselves."

To create an environment where the team is able to share it with the team, all members can learn from it and remember it for when they are faced with a similar scenario.

In addition it creates an opportunity to bring awareness of the work it took, this can function as a way to bring the spot light to a individual but also creates an opportunity for management how to improve the preparation or request for the project.

It was well received by the members and it’s a fun way to get individual members in the spotlight, as they are all super stars!

“デザトレ! Dezatore!" is a one-hour session set out weekly to explore, experiment, share skills, knowledge and ideas among ourselves. It is a curt and catchy sounding vocabulary we created from the words デザイン・トレーニング (dezain・toreeningu : design training) ☆
