クローディアとグレイは、ローバーンへ向かうことにしたが、街で海賊の男に話しかけられた。

「俺はキャプテンホーク！海賊をやっていたんだが、俺の船は沈んでしまった。ゲッコ族というトカゲの姿をした部族から、宝物の場所を書いた古文書をもらったんだが、古い言葉で書かれていてわからん。この街の図書館なら、古文書の内容がわかると聞いて、ここまで来たんだ。図書館の場所はわかるか？」

グレイは答えた。

「ああ、メルビル帝国図書館なら、場所はわかる。一緒に行きましょうか」

クローディアとグレイは、ローバーンへ行く前に、ホークと一緒に図書館へ向かった。

「このあたりが、古代語の棚だと思うが」

三人で調べて読解してみると、ゲッコ族の住むジャングルのどこかに神殿があり、アムトのシンボルとエリスのシンボルがあれば、神殿に入ることができるらしい。その神殿内部には、伝説のデスティニーストーンが隠されているとのことだ。

「デスティニーストーン・・・くだらん伝承の類だと思っていたが、本物なんだろうか？お宝としての価値はあるのか？」

ホークが言った。

「ホークさん、私たちは、ローバーンへ行くつもりだけど、あなたはどうするの？一人でジャングルへ行くの？」

「さすがの俺も、一人でジャングル探索はきついな。俺もローバーンへついて行くぜ。俺は、さっきも言ったが船をなくしちまってな、新しい船を買うための金を稼ぎたいんだ、よろしくな」

こうして、クローディアとグレイ、ホークの三人はローバーンへと向かった。

ローバーンに到着すると、グレイはモニカの家に挨拶に行きたいと言った。モニカの家に行くと、一人の少年がベッドで眠っていた。

「モニカ、どうしたんだ？あ、この女性はクローディア。そして、この大柄の男性はホークだ」

「クローディアです、はじめまして」

「ホークだ、よろしくな」

「モニカと申します。実は、イスマスのほうへ用事があって行こうとしたとき、あの男の子が血を流して倒れていて・・・生きているのだけど、もう何日間も眠ったままなの・・・」

モニカが説明していると、ちょうど、少年は目を覚ました。

「ね、姉さん・・・」

「良かった、気が付いたのね。あ、駄目よ。まだ寝てなきゃ。わたしはモニカって言うの。あなたは？」

「私は、イスマス城の城主、ルドルフの息子、アルベルトと申します」

「あのイスマス城の・・・あの時、城はモンスターに襲われていたわね」

「はい・・・ローザリアのクリスタルシティへ救援を求めに行こうとしていたのですが・・・」

「そうだったの・・・。ローザリアへ行きたいんでしょう？ブルエーレまで行けば、ヨービル行きの船に乗れるわ。この付近の地図を渡すわ」

「ありがとうございます」

その時、クローディアはアルベルトに話しかけた。

「私たちも、クリスタルシティへご一緒してもいいかしら？一人で行くのは大変でしょう？私はクローディアって言うの」

「俺はグレイ」

「俺はキャプテンホークだ」

「ありがとうございます。心強いです」

クローディア、グレイ、ホーク、アルベルトの4人は、ブルエーレから船に乗って、ヨービルに向かうことになった。

Claudia and Gray decide to head to Roburn, but are approached by a pirate in town.
