今回は pretty と cute の違いをネイティブに聞いてみました！

【Question】
Is there a difference between these two options?🤔 Thank you!

1) She is pretty.

2) She is cute.

① アメリカ人の感覚🇺🇸
It’s not a big difference. They both mean essentially the same thing.
Pretty may be closer to きれい
Cute may be closer to かわいい
But both pretty and cute have the same meaning! Saying “cute” might be considered a little more youthful
【大きな違いではないです。 どちらも基本的には同じ意味です。prettyは「きれい」に近いかもしれません。cuteは、かわいいに近いかもしれません。ですが、prettyもcuteも同じ意味です。cuteと言った方が、少し若々しく見えるかもしれません。 】

Hmmm cute is cute. Like a kitten. Pretty is pretty like Scarlet Johansen. People can be cute like a kitten, or pretty like Scarlet Johansen. But theyre not entirely the same
【うーん、cuteはcute。 子猫のようにです。 prettyはスカーレット・ヨハンセンのようにprettyです。 人は子猫のようにかわいくなることもあれば、スカーレット・ヨハンセンのようにかわいくなることもあります。 でも、両者はまったく同じではないです】
