1870 Rising Sun Dragon 50 Sen Silver Sashinaga-sen (M3 旭日竜大型50銭銀貨 刺長銭)

Yes, it is. This one is called Sashinaga-sen. Also you can say shinaga-sen. Because of Kanji letter "刺長銭".

This "刺長銭" variety has 3 specific points these days.

Point.1 "Sen"(銭) letter (銭字). This letter is something with spike. That's why we call Sashinaga-sen "刺長銭".

You can also find "刺長銭" helping from Point.2 and Point.3. It was like me yesterday.
Individually Point.3 only is not rare.

M3 50 Sen has so many variety, because of mint tech at that beginning of Meiji era. "刺長銭" is not ultra rare but rare, it's like rarer than 1847 Plain Edge if talking about Gothic Crown. It is my opinion, anyway…
