Hello. This time, we invited "Keisuke-san" from Kaien Educational Division TEENS Kawasaki, which provides career design education for children with developmental disabilities, as a guest to talk about the introduction and utilization of AVOS (AOIKE Virtual Online School)! Keisuke-san, who himself was diagnosed with a developmental disability, says that he preserves his memories by "taking pictures". He want to support people who suffer from developmental disabilities just like him! That is how he came to his current position. In this issue, we would like to introduce how TEENS Kesuke-san uses AVOS with love.

Graduated from the Faculty of Education and joined Kaien as a new graduate. Joined Kaien as a new graduate and belongs to TEENS Kawasaki, Education Division.
Started an online service, Shigoto Mirai Juku, in 2021, and has been running courses as a navigator (moderator) since its inception.

First, Kaien, Inc. was founded in 2009 and offers a variety of support services to help people with developmental disabilities find jobs that utilize their strengths and characteristics. Kaien is unique in that it provides specialized and sincere support for each stage of life, including support for elementary, junior high, and high school students, support for university students, independent training for adults, and support for transitioning to employment, according to the needs of you and your child.

Within Kaien's business, TEENS, the education division, provides educational support for elementary, junior high, and high school students.

Although the concerns of children with developmental disabilities vary widely, what we want them to have in common is the "ability to work", which will lead to happiness in their lives. TEENS is a safe and secure place where children can have fun, learn and develop their "ability to work".

The first is "after-school daycare services". There are nine locations in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and as of November 2022, Mr. Kesuke is working at the Kawasaki location. This after-school daycare service offers programs such as "work experience," in which participants can explore their own strengths and weaknesses in a simulated workplace, and "individual sessions," in which they can learn arrangement skills and consultation skills with a personal coach. Information sessions and trial sessions are also available at any time, so please take this opportunity to check them out.

The second is Shigoto Mirai Juku. This is an online program that is available every weekday for a monthly fee. In this program, students can acquire skills that will lead to future employment and independent living through three main steps.

1.Hear the voices of your peers to learn about yourself and broaden your interest in your surroundings. Various courses are offered, such as the "Self-Research Course.

2.Online programs and certification programs to acquire skills for "working" that cannot be learned at school or in the community. There are hundreds of programs!

3.Internships for elementary, junior high, and high school students allow them to experience the real work place and learn about the real thing. Work experience programs in cooperation with companies are also available.

Incidentally, at TEENS, where Kesuke-san belongs, he is using AVOS for the second "Shigoto Mirai Juku". He says, "Developmental disabilities and Metaverse go hand in hand! I am very curious to know how you are actually using AVOS to develop educational support programs for children with developmental disabilities. I am very curious.

What is AVOS?

Oh!!! This is a system that allows us to create educational opportunities using the cutting-edge technology of the Metaverse. Does it sound kind of difficult? No. You can easily create a school on the Internet with the touch of a button.

AVOS is characterized not only by its ability to create a virtual school space where teachers and students can gather, but also by the fact that it is equipped with an LMS (Learning Management System), which includes all the functions necessary for school management, such as grade management and report submission.
