オンライン英会話でいつも英語漬けの日々を楽しんでいますが、何気なくYouTubeを見ていつもの学習ルーティンに変化をつけるのも好きです。
マンネリ化を防ぐ目的と気分転換として、あまり気を張らずゆるく楽しめるコンテンツを持っておくことも大切だと感じています。
そこで今回、笑いながらイギリス人の英会話を楽しめる動画をご紹介します。

JOLLYはイギリス人デュオ、ジョシュ（Josh）とオリー（Ollie）によるYouTubeチャンネルで、食べ物を中心としたエンタメ動画を手掛けています。
イギリスフードはもちろん、様々な国の料理、ファストフードからミシュランフードまで幅広く紹介しており、彼らのユーモアセンス溢れるリアクションやコメントが笑わせてくれます。

イギリス人がなぜ韓国の食べ物？と少し不思議に思うかもしれません。その理由はジョシュのバックグラウンドに関係しています。幼少期を中国で過ごした彼は、中国のインターナショナルスクールで韓国の文化に初めて触れます。その後、韓国語を専攻するためにイギリスに戻り、また韓国大学にも留学をしました。さらには韓国人女性と結婚しており、韓国との関係性がとても深いことが分かります。

English Duo - JOLLY
JOLLY is a YouTube channel created by a duo, Josh Carrott and Ollie Kendal who are from the UK. They make entertaining videos which are mostly food-related.
Not only British food, but also they introduce a wide variety of meals from all over the world, ranging from fast food to Michelin-starred food. They have a good sense of humour, so their reactions and comments make you laugh.

They have another YouTube channel, named Korean Englishman, which is their first YouTube channel.

You might be wondering why they feature Korean food. It relates to Josh’s background. He spent his childhood in China and got a taste of Korean culture for the first time in the international school he went to. He then returned to England for university, majoring in Korean language studies. Also, he studied abroad at Korea University. On top of that, he is married to a South-Korean woman, which is another reason why he is closely related to Korea.
