さて、１０月に従来型の英検の試験日が控えているということで、最近は英作文の添削をすることも増えてきました。様々な級の英作文を添削する中で、意外と各級のフォーマットを理解せずに書いている学生が多いということに気が付きました。そのことを踏まえ、今回は英検２級を基準として、英検準１級・１級の英作文の書き方について共有したいと思います。

例えば「リモートワークの利点は欠点を上回るか」というテーマで英作文を書くとします。

【 英検２級 】
I think that there are a lot of advantages of remote work. I have two reasons to support my opinion. First, remote work helps people to save time. Workers don’t need to take a bus or train to go to the office. Second, remote work allows people to improve their PC skills. Even if workers are not good at using a computer, they will get used to it. For these reasons, I believe that there are more benefits than disadvantages. 

【 英検準１級 】
I believe that the advantages of remote work outweigh the disadvantages. （要約文）The benefits of it are related to time efficiency and raising the PC skills of employees. Firstly, remote work allows workers to save their time. For instance, a number of corporations did not adopt the system before. Therefore, some employees had to spend hours commuting every day. With the system, however, they don’t need to go to the office anymore.
Secondly, working from home can improve the PC skills of employees. （譲歩）It is true that they can improve the skills no matter where they work, but it is also true that some workers deny learning it unless they are forced by necessity. In that sense, the pandemic could accelerated digital transformation.
In conclusion, （再主張）remote work have positive impact on society, as it can contribute to time efficiency and enhancing employee’s digital skills. 

【 英検１級 】
（情勢）Due to the technological development amid the pandemic, a number of institutions have installed the remote work system. （譲歩＆要約文）Although some people underline the negative side of it, I strongly believe that it can positively cause a ripple effect on employees’ lives, industries, and the economy of countryside.
Remote work helps improve time efficiency. A number of corporations did not adopt the system before the pandemic. Therefore, some employees had to spend hours commuting every day. However, now that they do not need to have a round trip between their house and work, they can manage their time at their own discretion.
Additionally, working remotely can be a trigger to accelerate digital transformation. Needless to say, in Japan, the investment of digitalization have been increasing so as to catch up to the industrialization of the other developed nations. If more Japanese corporations adopt the system, it can advance and change the industrial structure itself.
Furthermore, working from home can contribute to regional revitalization in the long run. For some decades, the depopulation of rural areas has been becoming a serious issue in Japan. By promoting remote work, the number of people who decide to return to their hometown will increase. This can also lead to galvanize the economy of local communities.
From all the reasons I mentioned above, （再主張）I claim that the advantages of remote work outweigh its disadvantages since it can raise the time efficiency of individual workers and grow the industry, and boost the economy of the rural areas. 

表現的に間違いもあるかと思いますが、型としては各級こんな感じになるかと思います。I have two reasons.は生徒が好きな表現ですが、基本使ってよいのは英検２級までかと思います。準１級以上になると、以下のポイントを意識して書くようにといつも生徒には伝えています。
【準１級で意識すること】
①最初の段落に理由２つの要約となる語句（キーワード）を入れること。
②譲歩を入れること。
③パラフレーズをしたり、様々な文法表現を用いること。

※①②については、英作文で高得点を狙いたい場合は必須になってくるところです。近年、大学入試試験で外部検定利用入試を受ける生徒も増えてきています。そのため、英検準１級を保有済で、スコアを上げるために同じ級を再受験するケースも多く見受けられます。そのような生徒のために、上記のポイントを踏まえて論理構成もチェックしてあげることが重要であると認識しています。

【英検１級で意識すること】
①最初の段落で最近の情勢について言及する。
※あとは基本的に準１級と同じですが、表現力がポイントになるので、仮定法や名詞構文、仮主語・目的語のit、全文や全文の一部を受ける関係代名詞whichなどを意識して用いると良いと思います。

色々と書きましたが、あくまでも私の経験に基づくものなので、他にも正解はあるかもしれません（>_<）
ただ、高得点を狙っている方にお伝えしたいのは、一つ上の級の解答例を見てみるのが一番参考になるということです。１級の場合はその点、難しいのでValue Englishで添削を受けてみるのがおすすめです！
