I do not doubt that the books by the writers I mentioned above would still capture me. But it does not lead me to discover new things. Thus, I have read books by writers other than them. But they have yet to capture me. Therefore, I changed my mindset and was determined to try the books I had read and gave up in the middle. Among them is Morio Kita's, which I had tried to read but gave up in my undergraduate days. It is Dr. Mambo Ikyoku Ki. It is more entertaining than expected. It is a humorous essay on the doctors and patients at the psychiatry where he worked. It also has a lot of things to learn.
Its written style is stiff compared to that of the books published recently. It also has Kanji letters which are difficult to read and hard to find in recent ones. It reminds me of my undergraduate days. It is worth reading more than I expected. I will bury myself in Morio Kita for a while.

　今挙げたお気に入りの作家の本を読めば、熱中することは間違いなしです。でも、それでは新しい発見がないので、別の作家の本を読んでいるのですが、熱中できる作品に出会えません。
　そんな中、発想を転換して。学生時代に一度チャレンジして、途中で止めた作家の作品　に挑戦することにした。それが、北杜夫さんです。今、「どくとるマンボウ医局記」を読んでいます。期待以上に面白い。この作品は北さんが通っていた病院の医師や患者をユーモラスに描いたエッセイです。昔の作品らくしく、体は硬く、難しい漢字も使われていて、なつかしく感じました。どくとるマンボウシリーズは、もっと軽いイメージを持っていのですが、以外と骨太で読み応えがあります。しばらくは、北杜夫さんにはまりそうです。
