For me, December is the busiest month in a year. I still work from home as a contract worker for a company. Apart from December, I only have a few busy days a month. And I can enjoy writing articles for the Note. But I have to cut back my time to write articles in December.
Every December, I am asked to help the company make an annual business plan for the coming year. I am not involved in it so deeply but in a complex task. What I do is to make a sales plan for the coming year using MS Access and Excel. That is a very complex task because it consists of about a thousand items and customers. It has been ten years since I was involved in it. In the beginning, I just started it with Excel. But it was not enough to process a mountain of data. I had to waste a lot of time doing so only with Excel. So, I began to use Access. I had never used it before and not imagined that I could have used it. However, I began to learn and use Access step by step using the reference books. Then, in a few years, I managed to create a system that makes it easier to process the data. And I was able to save a lot of my time.
I enjoyed it for about eight years, but I have recently got tired of it and discouraged. I like to use more of my time to write articles for the Note and do other things. That must be much better for my future. And I will overcome this busy December with full power.

　ボクにとって、12月は1年で一番忙しい月です。まだ契約社員として自宅で働いているためです。12月を除けば、忙しい日は月に数日しかないので、noteに記事を楽しんで書く余裕もあります。でも、12月は記事を時間を削らなけらばなりません。
　毎年12月になると、会社から来年の年間事業計画を立案するサポートを頼まれるのです。立案にはそれほど深く関わっているわけではありませんが、複雑な仕事に携わっています。ボクの役割は、MSのアクセスとエクセルを使って来年の販売計画を立てることです。約千の品目と顧客の計画を立てるため非常に複雑なのです。これに携わってから約10年になります。当初はエクセルだけで始めたのですが、山のようなデータを処理するには不十分でした。エクセルだけでは時間を無駄にしていました。そこでアクセスを使い始めました。それまで一度も使ったことがなかったし、使えるなんて想像もしていなかったのですが、参考書を使って一歩一歩学び、使い始めました。そして数年後には、より簡単にデータを処理できる仕組みをを作ることができました。このおかげで、自分の時間を大幅に節約することができました。
　始めてから８年ほどは楽しかったのですが。段々あきてきて、やる気が失せてきました。noteに記事を書いたり、他のことに時間を使う方がいいです。その方が自分の将来に役立ちそうです。
