Tokyo. It is my favourite city. I love it very much. It is much bigger than Kyoto, where I lived when I was young. It has a lot of places where I not only have fun, but also be amazed or impressed. It also gives me a lot of chances to try something new and has never tired me. I am now very happy to live in the Tokyo area. I can easily access Tokyo whenever I am tempted to have fun or be excited. So I will never leave where I live now as long as I live in Japan.
However, it was a disaster when I stepped into Tokyo for the first time, my first trip to Tokyo. I came to Tokyo at 23 years old to have interviews with some companies for a job. First, I had to move to Tsudanuma, Chiba from the Tokyo station. The move was not so difficult as I could easily find the platform for the Sobu line. After having the interview, I had to move to the hotel I booked in advance. That was the biggest trouble in my first trip. The hotel was near the Takebashi station in Tokyo. So I had to move from Tsudanuma to Takebashi, but I had no idea about how to get there. I had no map and anything else but the address of the hotel. So in Tsudanuma, I was at a loss as to what to do, but I found another job seeker who had the same interview as me. I asked him to help me to get to Takebashi from there. He was very kind to take me to the Tokyo station together and showed me how to get to the Takebashi station by taking the Tozai line. That was of great help and I managed to get to Takebashi. But I still had trouble getting to the hotel. So I had to ask a lot of passers-by to show me the way to the hotel. And I finally arrived at the hotel, which was close to the Meteorological Agency.
At the moment, I found how big and complex Tokyo is and that it is so big that it cannot be compared to Kyoto. The big city confused me at first but made me have a desire to know more. A few years later, I was able to move to and begin to live in the Tokyo area. Since then, I have been living in the Tokyo area except when I lived in Europe. I enjoy the Tokyo life very much.

東京。大好きな街です。とても気に入っています。若い頃に住んでいた京都よりもずっと大きいす。楽しいだけでなく、興奮したり、感動したりする場所がたくさんあります。また、新しいことをしたり体験したりする機会もたくさんあり、飽きることがありません。今、東京近郊に住んでいるのですが、ここに住んで本当に良かったと思っています。楽しみたいとき、興奮したいときに、いつでも簡単に東京に行くことができます。日本に住んでいる限り、今住んでいる場所を離れることはないと思います。
でも、初めて東京に足を踏み入れたときは悲惨でした。23歳の時、就活で企業面接を受けるために上京しました。まず、東京駅から千葉の津田沼に移動しました。総武線のホームはすぐに見つかったので、これはそれほど難しくありませんでした。面接後、予約しておいたホテルに移動しました。これが一番厄介でした。ホテルは竹橋駅の近くにあったので、津田沼から竹橋に移動しなければならなかったのですが、どうやって行けばいいのかわからなかったのです。地図も何もなく、ホテルの住所しか知らないため、津田沼で途方に暮れていました。すると、同じ面接を受けた求職者がいたので、その人にお願いして、竹橋までの移動を助けてもらいました。とても親切な方で、一緒に東京駅まで行ってくれ、東西線で竹橋駅に移動するよう教えてくれました。おかげで何とか竹橋に着きました。それでもホテルにたどり着くのにまだ苦労しました。多くの通りすがりの人にホテルまでの道を教えてもらいました。そしてようやくホテルにつきました。気象庁のすぐ近くでした。
その時、東京がいかに大きく複雑で、京都とは比較にならないほど大きいと痛感しました。最初は、東京に戸惑いましたが、東京をもっと知りたくなりました。そして数年後、東京に移り、住み始めることができました。それ以来、ヨーロッパに住んでいたとき以外はずっと東京周辺に住んでいます。t右京ライフを楽しいでいます。
