It has been seven months since my granddaughter was born. I have not met her for a while. But I can always see her on a website. Her videos and photos have been uploaded every few days. So, I can, at any time, see how she looks like and what she is doing. These always make me happy and bring a smile to me.
A few days ago, her new videos were posted on the website. First, I was astonished to see that her hair was not standing up. It had always stood up and never laid down no matter what was being done. But it seemed to have changed its mind and was lying down nicely.
I was also surprised to see that she was rolling over very well. She also tried to move forward with her arms and she seemed to enjoy it very much. She seems to be able to crawl with her legs soon. I look forward to seeing what will happen to her a few days later. She is sweet and is my best treasure.
But I have no time to be complacent. She is not just my treasure, but also my rival. She does not know about it. But I have been arbitrarily competing with her to see who can walk first properly, her or me. For now, she seems to be the first. She is already about to begin crawling and will stand up and begin to walk soon. On the other hand, I have been still struggling to stand straight. So far, I have been doing a lot of things to stand straight and make my body more flexible with tubes. So, my body is gradually improving, but not significantly. I cannot catch up with her at this rate!

孫が生まれてもう7カ月です。しばらく会っていません。でも、ウェブサイトでいつも姿を見ることができます。孫のビデオや写真が数日ごとにアップロードされます。おかげで、いつでも孫の様子や動きを見ることができます。ビデオや写真をみるといつもうれしくなり、笑顔がこぼれます。
数日前、新しいビデオが掲載されました。まず、孫の髪が立っていないことにびっくりです。以前はいつも立っていて、何をしても寝なかったのです。でも、髪の毛も気が変わったようで、きれいに寝るようになりました。
また、寝返りが上手なことにも驚きました。腕を使って前に進もうとすることもあり、とても楽しそうでした。もうすぐハイハイもできそうです。数日後が楽しみです。とてもかわいく、ボクの一番の宝です。
でも、安閑としている場合ではありません。孫は、ボクの宝であると同時に、ライバルでもあります。孫は知りませんが、孫とボクのどちらが先に歩けるようになるか、勝手に競っているのです。今のところ、孫の方が先に歩けそうです。すでに、ハイハイを始めそうで、もうすぐ立ち上がって歩き始めそうです。他方、ボクは、まだまっすぐ立つのに苦戦中です。今のところ、まっすぐ立ったり、体を柔わらかくするために、チューブを使っていろんなことをしています。おかげで、体は少しずつ良くなってはいますが、目を見張るほどではありません。このままでは孫に追いつけません！
