くまさん一行は、小惑星イトカワから、太陽系の外に向かいました。火星と木星の間にある小惑星帯に入ったくまさん達は、少し大きめの小惑星ベスタを見つけました。1807に発見された小惑星で、直径が500kmほどの大きさがあります。5時間ほどで自転するようです。ベスタを眺めるくまさん一行。小惑星帯と言うのでもっと多く見えると思ったものの実際にはあまり見えず、どうやら小さい星が一杯あっても、ひとつひとつの距離は、遠いことに気付いたくまさん達なのでした。

They knew that even if there were innumerable asteroids in this place, they were invisible because they were far away.

他们知道，即使这个地方有无数的小行星，它们也是隐形的，因为它们很远。
