今日はアンジュー・ソミュールの自然派の作り手、「ドメーヌ・デュ・パ・サン・マルタン」のワインをご紹介します。

曽祖父から受け継いだ、最高樹齢85年にもなる畑は合計17ヘクタール。豊かなミネラルを持つジュラ紀のシレックス土壌から採れるぶどうは、凝縮感に満ち溢れています。

Today we introduce winery "Le Pas Saint Martin", which delivers biological wine methods.

They have total 17ha vineyard and 2/3 of it was from their great-grandfather. The silex soil from Jurassic brings grapes much mineral and condensation. 

畑では、生態系をコントロールし虫の被害を減らす試みがいくつも実施されています。こちらのfacebookの投稿では、フェロモンディフューザーを駆使し蝶の交尾を阻害し、ぶどうを攻撃する可能性がある幼虫の発生を減らす取組が紹介されています。

In this photo, the pheromone diffusers will allow them to limit the mating of male and female butterflies, fewer eggs without larvae, less potential damage related to cluster worms that attack grape berries and can cause gray rot.

畑から採れるシュナン・ブランは白い花やアカシアの芳香が漂います。時間が経ち温度が上がってくると、ライチやマンゴーなどトロピカルフルーツの妖艶な香りを纏い、思わずうっとりしてしまうようなワインです。

The chenin blanc from their vineyard has floral aroma of white flowers. As time pass by, you can feel aroma of tropical fruits as well. 

野菜料理、魚料理のみならず、鶏肉のフリカッセなどにもぴったりな白。
