アジア経済ニュースNNA ASIAは2023年09月26日に、タイFDA(Thailand Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health/保健省食品・医薬品局)は2023年09月25日に、日本の海産物は安全だとする声明を出した。

日本が2023年08月24日に福島第一原子力発電所の処理水海洋放出を開始したことを受けて、一部の市民の間で広がっているとみられる日本の海産物への懸念を払拭した。

FDAのルートチャーイ副事務局長(Deputy Director-General Root Chai of Thai FDA)は声明で、処理水の放出開始以降、日本から輸入する海産物に対して厳格な安全確認措置をとっていると強調。国際基準値を超える放射性物質は確認されておらず、消費者は安心して日本の海産物を食べることができると述べた。

タイ当局は、イカやカニなど海産物のサンプル73点を回収し、42点で国際基準を超える放射性物質の含有がないことを確認済みだという。33点は現在も分析中で、万が一、異常が確認された場合は、輸入停止措置をとると説明した。
