忘れないうちにインタビュー対策について記録に残しておこうかな、と。私は何も考えていなくて、アプリケーションを提出し終わるも抜け殻になり実際インタビューに呼ばれるまでやる気がいまいち出ず、あれ何を準備すればよいんだ！？と最後にあたふたしたので誰かの参考になれば嬉しいです。

①自分がアピールしたいエピソードを考える
②想定質問を把握する
③掛け合わせして回答を作る
④喋る練習をする

の4ステップにわけて、以下それぞれについて詳細を書いていこうと思います。

①自分がアピールしたいエピソードを考える

結局想定質問も大事なんですけど、インタビュー中にいかに自分が話したいことを話せるか、というのが一番大事な気がしています。仕事での業績、課外活動での活躍、将来の夢、などなど・・・「何が聞かれるか」ではなく「何をアピールしたいか」で考えましょう。

アピールしたいエピソードを考えてひとまずリストアップします。

②想定質問を把握する

ぐぐってもたくさん出てきますし、あとはカウンセラー、受験仲間、アルムナイ・在校生に聞いてこちらの質問もリストアップしましょう。参考までに私がStanfordで調べた時にリストアップしたものをいくつか挙げます：

〇一般的な質問
- Why MBA?
- Why Stanford?
-Why now?
- Tell me about an experience where you felt that an MBA experience would benefit you. 
- What is your post-MBA goal?
- How can you add value to the class?　What will you bring that is unique to the program? 

〇Accomplishmentsについて
- What is your proudest professional accomplishment? Why do you feel that this is your greatest accomplishment?
- Tell me about a time you proposed an idea for a new project. How did you make it work?
- Tell me about a time you initiated something new or saw an opportunity that others didn't see. 
- Tell me about a project where you exceeded the goal set by your boss or went beyond the formal boundaries of your role.
- Tell me about a time you went beyond your authority. 
- Tell me about a time you felt effective. 
- Have you had any tradeoff between two equally attractive opportunities?

〇Challenges/Failureについて
- What was your greatest challenge at work?
- Have you ever failed at doing something? What did you learn?
- When have your ethics been challenged? 
- Tell me about a time when others have pointed out a weakness of yours.
- Tell me about a time when you provided result but not as good as expected
- Tell me about a time when you got pushback, how did you respond? 

〇Organizational Changeについて
- Tell me about a time you saw an opportunity for improving an organization. How did you convince your boss and make it work?  

〇Leadershipについて- 
- Tell me about a time when you led a team. What did you do? What were you thinking? What was your role? What was the result? What was the hardest part? What do you wish you have done differently?
- What do you think are important traits of a leader?
- When have you failed as a leader? 

〇Teamworkについて
- Tell me about a challenging teamwork situation.
- Have you ever had a difficult person on your team?
- How have you successfully bridged diverse teams? 
- How have you successfully to motivated juniors? 
- How have you successfully impacted seniors? 

〇最後に
- success/failure両方のバージョンを考えておくと有効です
- 逆に面接官に聞きたい質問リストも忘れずに！

③掛け合わせして回答を作る

私は下記のようなマトリックスを作って、エクセルを埋めて回答を準備しましたが、こちらはご自分のやりやすい方法で考えてください！

ポイントとしては、同じ質問に対して複数のエピソードを使えるように考えておくこと、逆に同じエピソードを複数の質問形式で話せるようにしておくこと。質問に答える必要はあるけど、話したいエピソードを全部話しきることが大事だと思います。

④喋る練習をする

ひとりでぶつぶつ練習するでもよし、カウンセラーやお友達に質問してもらうもよし、③で考えたパターンをすべてスムーズに話せるようにしましょう。
