西洋手毬肝木 （セイヨウテマリカンボク）


レンプクソウ科、ガマズミ属、
セイヨウカンボク種の園芸品種となる。


その高さは２〜５ｍになり、５〜７月には
枝先に大きな球状の花序がつくものである。


花は当初はエメラルドグリーンのものだが
徐々に純白に色を変えていく。その部分に
つくのは装飾花だけのもので構成される。

It reaches a height of 2 to 5 meters, and from May to July, it produces large spherical flower clusters at the tips of its branches.


The flowers initially appear in emerald green but gradually change to pure white. These flowers consist solely of sterile florets.
