十月桜 （ジュウガツザクラ）


バラ目、バラ科、ザクラ属の落葉樹


江戸彼岸（エドヒガン）、豆桜（マメザクラ）
の交配種の桜となる。秋と冬の二度咲きの
桜となる。


まずは十月に開花するのが全体の三分の一、
春になって二月〜三月にかけて、残りの花
三分のニを咲かせる。


花径は１５〜２０ｍｍ、咲方は八重咲で、
花色は白、もしくは薄桃色となる。


本桜は、池田城の跡地にて撮影したもの。

JYUGATSU ZAKURA

October Cherry Blossom (Jugatsuzakura):

A deciduous tree belonging to the Rosales order, Rosaceae family, and Prunus genus.

It is a hybrid cherry blossom, a crossbreed of Edo Higan (Edohigan) and Mamezakura, blooming twice in autumn and winter.

About one-third of the blossoms bloom in October, while the remaining two-thirds blossom between February and March, heralding the arrival of spring.

With a flower diameter of 15-20 mm, the blossoms are double-flowered, and their colors range from white to pale pink.

This particular cherry blossom was photographed at the site of Ikeda Castle.
