記念すべき第1回目は...
「Re&Go」という取り組みについてです！

現在カフェなどでは使い捨て容器が使われることも多く、環境に負荷がかかっています。

使い捨てカップによる環境問題

• 過剰な廃棄物の生成

• 生産時・焼却処分時にCO2を排出

• 必要以上の森林伐採

• 使い終わったカップを正しく分別して捨てないと海や川に流れる可能性がある

• 代替品で紙を使っても資源の使いすぎに繋がる

そのような問題の解決を目指した取り組みがRe&Goです！

Re&Goとは、
LINE登録で簡単に参加できるごみを出さない容器のシェアリングサービスのことです。
Re&Goの容器を使うことによって、持続可能な社会作りに気軽に取り組むことができます。

実際にEGJメンバーが渋谷モディ店のスターバックスでRe&Goの取り組みを体験してたので感想をシェアしたいと思います！

EGJメンバーの感想

• とても簡単に使用できる！

• カップ値引き（スターバックスの場合）が入るからお財布にもやさしい

• 頻繁にカフェに行く人でも無理なく続けられる

• 環境への貢献度が数値で表されるから、貢献度が実感できるし達成感もある

• 紙のカップよりも保冷・保温効果があるから美味しく飲み物を楽しめる

• テイクアウトの場合は購入店舗以外でも容器を返すことができる

このように沢山メリットがあります！

一方で、
まだ多くの方に周知されていないというのが現状のようです。
店舗内でも他にRe&Goの容器を使っている方は見受けられませんでした。
また、Re&Goの取り組みが大きく宣伝されている訳ではなく、店員さんもまだ慣れていない様子でした。

Re&Goは素晴らしい取り組みなのでこれからもっと広まって欲しいです。
みなさんも是非Re&Goのカップを使用して手軽に環境問題の削減に取り組んでみて下さい！

We have decided to write articles on a regular basis.
We will be posting articles on social issues that you can read easily. ☺️

Our first article is about the "Re&Go" initiative!

Many cafes still use disposable cups, which have negative impacts on the environment.

Environmental impacts of disposable cups

• Excessive waste production

• CO2 emission

• Deforestation 

• If used cups are not properly sorted, they will end up in rivers and oceans

• Not only plastic cups but also  paper cups use a lot of resources to produce

Re&Go is an initiative aimed at solving those problems! 

Re&Go is a service where we decrease the amount of waste we produce by sharing containers(mugs etc). Using the containers provided by Re&Go, we can take another step into creating a sustainable future.

Our members used the Re&Go service at Starbucks in Shibuya, and we’ll share their comments.

How to use the service?

Add the official account of Re&Go on LINE from its official website
↓
Fill out your personal information
↓
Tap “Rent a container” from the usage menu
↓
Order drink
↓
Scan the QR code attached to the Re＆Go Cup

Comments from our members who used the Re&Go service:

• It’s super easy to use! 

• You get a discount at cafes (like Starbucks) so you can save some money 

• You won’t give up using this service even if you go to a cafe frequently because it’s very easy to use

• There is a numerical value that shows how much you contributed to saving the environment so you get a sense of fulfillment 

• The containers have a heating/cooling effect so you can enjoy your beverages more

• If you use takeout, you can return the container at a place other than the one you bought it at

As we mentioned above, there are many advantages, 

On the other hand, it seems that the current situation is that many people are not familiar with the Re&Go service yet. We didn’t see anyone else using the service in the store. The Re＆Go initiative was not widely advertised, and the staff seemed unaccustomed to it.

We hope that more people get familiar with the Re&Go service.
