compassionは思いやり、深い同情

“Kitty has no discretion in her coughs,”  “she times them ill.” この部分は英語初心者なので良くわかりません…。discretionは自由裁量だから、キティは好き好んで咳をしているわけじゃないよ、と訳しそうになりました。ちがうんですね。。

fretfully（イライラして）にキティがそのあと言っているセリフを見れば違うとわかるのですが、うーーん、むずかしい！
