風林庵の店主が皆様をお迎えするときに着ている作務衣(さむえ)。作務衣はもともと、禅宗の修行僧の作業着です。
こちらの作務衣は、1914年（大正3年）創業の野川染織工業 @nogawasenshoku のもの。
 
野川染織工業の伝統は、「天然発酵建て・先染め」にあります。天然の生きた藍を使い、糸から染めること。それを守り続けてこそ、丈夫で長持ちし、肌に優しく、健やかな暮らしに寄り添う藍染めだといいます。
100余年を経てなお、一着一着に丹誠込めて作る想いは、創業当時から変わらないのだそうです。
 
The wear we wearing is ‘Samue’ – it originally comes from the coveralls of monks in Zen Buddhism. We choose the ones of Nogawa Senshoku-Kogyo @nogawasenshoku established 1914.
The traditional technique of Nogawa Senshoku-Kogyo is using natural indigo. They use indigo to dye yarn before making Samue. It makes Samue strong, gentle for our skins and lives. It has not changed in 100 years.
