This month February is the coldest month of the year in Japan. The last few days the daytime temperatures have been less than 10 degrees Celsius and rainy. On the other hand, there have been days when the temperature has been close to 20 degrees Celsius, which make us frighten global warming. When I were a kid, 20 degree Celsius could be the max daytime temperature in July.
二月は日本では一番寒い月です。最近は最高気温が10度以下で雨の日が多いです。一方で、20度超えの日があったりして、本当に夏はどうなってしまうのか地球温暖化！と思うことしばしばです。子供の頃は、真夏の7月でも、日中の最高気温が20度前後なんてこともあったのに。

Yesterday, it was sunny, but I didn't go farming.
昨日は晴れてたけど、野暮用で、農家ボランティアはお休みしました。

Today I found out beets and carrot sprouts seeded on Jan 28th came out under non-woven fabric in my garden.
今日は1月28日に種まきしたビーツとニンジンの種が発芽しているのをみつけました。

I also found Japanese long onion sprouts. I left it for long time, and I don't remember when I seeded them. I may spilled seeds, so there is a big difference between dense and sparse areas.
長ネギの種も放置していたらで発芽していることに気がついてませんでした。種をこぼしたみたいで、結構密なところとそうでもないところの差がひどいですね。
