久々に寒かったので、野菜洗うのに手がかじかみました。

The lettuce that I helped to plant is now rounded off. We harvested one of them and sold it.
植えるときにお手伝いしたレタスが結球して参りました。一つだけ収穫して販売しました。

After that,  we seeded carrots and give them a lot of water.
そのあと、ニンジンの種まきを手伝いました。

Watering is important especially for carrot seeds. And carrot seeds are planted shallowly and tend to come up in frost. So, after sowing them, pressed the soil a little stronger by finger.
特にニンジンは、水をたっぷりあげるのが重要です。また、ニンジンの種は浅めに植えるので、霜で上がってきがちです。土をかぶせた後、少しだけ指で強めに土を押します。時には、籾殻を撒いたりもしますが、無かったので諦めました。今日は、ネットをかぶせただけでおわりました。
