Here's what you missed at the English Meet-up on June 30th and July 14th!

June 30th: Queer Pictionary

Just as it sounds, we played a game of Pictionary with some easy LGBTQ-related terms! Participants had 20 seconds to draw terms such as:
- coming out
- pride parade
- Waseda University Gender & Sexuality center
- questioning
- diversity
- ally
-fluid/ fluidity

As the other participants tried to guess in 30 seconds we had a very exciting time, despite the event being online! 

July 14th: Study Break

We entered the stressful FINALS SEASON!

For our last meeting for the semester, we organized a relaxed chat to vent about finals as usual.

Some of us were having difficulty focusing on work, especially when the libraries are still closed due to COVID-19. We also talked about how many of us, as well as other younger people we knew, were starting to become stressed for not seeing our friends for so long...

We talked about how many of our friends were going out and partying and many of us expressed mixed feelings about the situation in the Tokyo area. COVID case numbers are at an all-time high, but there are no restrictions made by the government, so many people are going out. 

One participant mentioned that they are feeling very stressed about having to stay home, and decided to make some plans to meet people. However, they must be very careful because they live with their grandparents. I felt that this is a very tricky season because we need to balance our mental health with our physical safety.
