京都の北野天満宮はご承知のとおり、菅原道真公をご祭神をお祀りする全国約1万2000社の天満宮、天神社の総本社。その一つに神戸北野天満神社がある。総本社から道真公の神霊を勧請し祀つられている。

As you know, Kitano Tenmangu in Kyoto is the head office of Tenmangu and Tenjinsha, which are about 12,000 companies nationwide that enshrine Sugawara no Michizane. One of them is Kobe Kitano Tenman Shrine. The spirit of Michizane is solicited and enshrined from the head office.

久々に神戸・北野界隈を少し歩いた。神戸の代表的な観光スポットで有名な北野坂は、衆知のとおり数々の異人館がある。その中に、寛保二年(1724年)に建立され、それ以来神戸の街や港を見守り続けている北野天満神社がある。

After a long time, I walked around Kobe and Kitano for a while. Kitanozaka, which is famous for its typical sightseeing spots in Kobe, has many Ijinkan as you know. Among them is Kitano Tenman Shrine, which was built in the second year of Kanpo (1724) and has been watching over the city and harbor of Kobe since then.

北野天満神社には、本殿の前に拝殿としての舞台がある。天神様に舞の奉納や、神事などをする場所として荘厳さを醸し出している。

At Kitano Tenman Shrine, there is a stage as a hall of worship in front of the main shrine. It exudes majesty as a place for dedicating dances and performing rituals to Tenjin.

本殿に拝礼し振り向くと拝殿の舞台。その舞台の間からは，天と地が臨める。地には神戸の街が広がっている。

When you worship at the main shrine and turn around, the stage of the worship hall. The heavens and the earth can be seen from between the stages. The city of Kobe spreads out on the ground.
