10年前の今日、2011年3月11日に発生した、マグニチュード9.0の巨大地震。
国内観測史上最大の津波が襲来、東日本の太平洋沿岸地域に甚大な被害をもたらした。
あれから10年、捨てるモノ、残すモノの葛藤の中でいまも復興は進んでいる。

Ten years ago today, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011. The largest tsunami in the history of domestic observations struck and caused enormous damage to the Pacific coast of eastern Japan. Ten years after that, reconstruction is still progressing in the conflict of things to throw away and things to leave.

その東日本大震災から2年後に、フランスで立ち上がった
「起き上がりこぼしプロジェクト」が震災復興に対する応援と、
原発事故による福島問題、そして福島のみなさんに
世界からの応援の声を届けようとファッションデザイナーの
高田賢三さん(昨年10月死去)が呼びかけて始まった。
この起きあがりこぼしの絵付けの1番目が高田賢三さん、
そして国内外のアーティストが絵付けに加わった。

Two years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, it stood up in France. The "Okiagarikoboshi Project" supports reconstruction after the earthquake and to the Fukushima problem caused
by the nuclear accident and to everyone in Fukushima,
Fashion designers trying to deliver the voice of support from all over the world Kenzo Takada (died in October last year) started calling.
The first painting of this rising spill is Kenzo Takada,
And domestic and foreign artists joined the painting.

このプロジェクトは、ヨーロッパ各地の日本イベントとして開催され、
来場者の目を引いたのが「起き上がりこぼし」。
起き上がりこぼしとは福島県会津地方の郷土玩具で縁起物として有名である。

This project was held as a Japanese event in various parts of Europe. What caught the eye of the visitors was "getting up and spilling." Roly-poly toy is a local toy in the Aizu region of Fukushima prefecture and is famous as a lucky charm.

そのプロジェクトの一環イベントが京都でも開催された。
京都伝統工芸館では一昨年の春に約1ヶ月間行われ、
その後、当時、私が勤務していた京都美術工芸大学の
1階ギャラリーでも一ヵ月間展示された。
それに併せ「カタツムリ作戦」が展開された。
これは、京都美術工芸大学の客員教授であるコシノジュンコさんの発案で、
起きあがりこぼしプロジェクト同様に、
東日本大地震で被害を受けた子どもたちへのアートメッセージとして
「カタツムリアート」(写真)を京都の小中学校の生徒や京都美術工芸大学の学生が制作。
起きあがりこぼしとコラボし、福島へ届けた。

A part of the project was also held in Kyoto.
At the Gallery of Kyoto Traditional Arts and Crafts,
it was held for about a month in the spring of the year before last.
After that, at that time, I was working at Kyoto Arts and Crafts University.It was also exhibited in the gallery on the 1st floor for a month.
Along with that, "Snail Operation" was developed.
This was the idea of Junko Koshino, a visiting professor at Kyoto Arts and Crafts University.
Like the Roly-poly toy project As an art message to children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake "Snail art" (photo) is produced by students of elementary and junior high schools in Kyoto and students of Kyoto Arts and Crafts University.
Collaborated with Roly-poly toy and delivered it to Fukushima.

このコラボの展示は斬新で洗練されたアート空間を創りだしていた。
高田賢三さん、コシノジュンコさん、そして京都府知事、市長などの
起きあがりこぼしも展示されていた。
"とどけ！福島へ、東北へ" の光が輝いていた。

This collaborative exhibition created a novel and sophisticated art space. Kenzo Takada, Junko Koshino, Governor of Kyoto Prefecture, Mayor, etc. Roly-poly toys were also on display.
The light of "Deliver! To Fukushima, to Tohoku" was shining.
