【これまで取り組んできたこと】

大学2年時：公認会計士試験合格
大学3年時：1年間ベンチャー企業で勤務（主にVCのバックオフィスを担当）

【インターンを始めた理由】

　僕がこのインターンに志願した理由は主に二つあります。一点目は学生のうちに海外で働きたいという思いがあったという点で、二点目は東南アジア地域、もしくはサブサハラ・アフリカ地域でのマイクロファイナンスをはじめとした金融業に興味があったためです。
　まず一点目の海外で働きたいという希望は、大学の研究会においてサブサハラ地域の比較政治研究を行い、海外自体への興味が強まったことに加え、昨年度まで1年間インターンとして在籍していたベンチャー企業において海外税務対応をした際に、海外でも活躍のフィールドがあることを認識したためです。しかし、自分は今までの人生で英語学習から逃げてきており、海外での留学や長期滞在の経験もなかったため、日本以外で生活することのイメージが全くわいておりませんでした。その折に前の会社の方から人づてにJCFのことを紹介していただき、インターンを行うことにしました。
　二点目についても前述したものと被る点は多くありますが、自分が大学でサブサハラの研究をしている際にグラミン銀行について学び、途上国におけるマイクロファイナンスをはじめとした金融業がどのように人々の生活に根差しているのかについて興味を持ったためです。
　初めての海外長期滞在ということでうまくいかないことばかりだとは思いますが、なるべく多くのことを吸収していきたいと思います。

{reasons to start this internship}

   I applied for this internship for two main reasons. First, I wanted to work abroad while still a student, and second, I was interested in the financial industry, including microfinance, in Southeast Asia or Sub-Saharan Africa.
   The first reason I wanted to work abroad was that I had been doing comparative political research on the Sub-Saharan region in a university seminar, and I had also recognized that there were fields of activity overseas when I dealt with overseas taxation at a venture company where I worked as an intern for a year until last year. However, I had been avoiding learning English all my life and had never studied or stayed abroad for a long period of time, so I had no idea what it would be like to live outside of Japan. It was then that one of my former employers introduced me to JCF through a friend, and I decided to do the internship.
   The second point also has many similarities with the aforementioned one, but I learned about Grameen Bank when I was studying sub-Saharan Africa at university, and I was interested in how the financial industry, including microfinance, is rooted in people's lives in developing countries.

   This will be my first long-term stay abroad, and I am sure that I will not do everything right, but I will try to absorb as much as I can.
