Do you like eating Onigiri?
Last year, the restaurant industry had selected 'onigiri' or rice balls, as the 'dish of the year'.
Recently rice consumption has declined for decades in Japan.
However, normally simple items have been evolving into elaborate and colorful creations, featuring shrimp and other high-end toppings.
They are both delicious and healthy.
The number of onigiri restaurants is growing rapidly in large cities.
Sales are on the rise and the items are ever appearing in countries outside Japan, the US and France.
Onigiri is allowing Japan to expand its rice market.
Near future onigiri exports may well including the Middle East and Africa.
