無意味に耐えられず、何かしらの意味を見出してしまうのは人間の性だ。
まっ白の紙の上に、無造作にピンを打つ。同じく適当に2つめのピンを打つと、そこには1つめのピンとの位置関係による意味がもう生まれている。3つめ以降のピン達が見せる軌跡は、一層複雑なものとして立ち現れるだろう。
人は解釈する。その過程で惑う。その戸惑いの中で、最初に打ったピンがかつて自分がいた場所だったことを知る。直線的な時間意識ではこうはいかない。リーマン幾何学のように前提を変える必要がある。
ここには動的な何かが潜んでいる。動きの中に生命の発露があるとしたら、静止は一体何にあたるのだろう。それもまた、ひとつの生きていることの現れではないだろうか。動きを止めるというひとつの運動。
ここにもやはり意味づけが介在しており、逃れられない。意味が生まれるところの本当の恐ろしさは、知らなかった頃の自分にもう還れないことにある。同時にこうも思う。人類がつくったもので、尊いものがいくつかあるけれど、そのひとつは意味なのではないだろうか、と。
なぜならば、それがあれば多少は辛くても生きていけるような気がしているから。

I can't stand meaninglessness and find some meaning. But, unfortunately, this seems to be unavoidable. The comfort and fierceness of "going forward". The tranquillity and fear of "stopping" once reserved. People live while enduring both of them.
Randomly hit a pin on pure white paper. Similarly, if you hit the second pin appropriately, the positional relationship with the first pin will be created. It starts to take on meaning and can't be restored anymore. And it can never be ignored.
The connection trajectory shown by the third and subsequent pins will appear more complicated. In that confusion, I discovered that the first pin I hit was where I used to be. This is not the case with linear time consciousness. Therefore, it is necessary to change the premise like "Riemannian geometry".
What is stillness if there is a manifestation of life in the movement? No, isn't that also a manifestation of one living thing? Because it can be interpreted as one moving to stop the action.
Again, there is a meaning intervening here, which cannot be escaped. And the absolute horror of where sense is born is that you can't go back to the time you didn't know. But, at the same time, I think like this: There are several precious things created by mankind, but I think one is meaning.
Because if you have it, even if it's full of pain, you can live.
