There are many houses on mountain in Baguio city. I realized that when I saw children playing outside a dark street one evening. From Quirino hill, the night view of the opposite mountain was so spectacular.

”ここも誰かの日常なんだよな"
住宅街が立ち並ぶ夜の山。
薄暗い中、外で遊ぶ子どもたちを見てふとそんなことを思った。

Near the boundary, there is a village famous for its colored houses. Local and international tourists go there and take pictures.

バギオからほど近い村では、カラフルな家々が山の傾斜に沿って連なる。
その美しい景色を求めて観光客が足を運ぶ。

People spend their lives as usual but I felt a little gloomy for they might or might not be enjoying the attention.

ただ日常を過ごしている。
一軒一軒、当たり前の集合体が美しさを作る。
それを確かめに行く私。
モヤモヤが残る。

How should sightseeing be done?
Nowadays, we tend to check something that people like in general.
However, you can choose what you want to eat and where you want to go without someone’s recommendation and review.
I remember more scenery which I passed by chance than a place I have been with a package tour. It is more convincing when I recommend a restaurant that I already experienced than a restaurant which only has good feedback from the internet.

“観光スポット”の在り方ってなんなんだろう。
今の私たちって一般的に良いと言われるものを確かめに行ってる感覚が強いと思う。でも行く場所も食べるものも、もっと自由でいい。
パッケージツアーで行く観光名所より、偶然見つけた美しい通りの方がずっと心に残ってる。
評価の高いレストランより、ちょっと予想を外れたご飯屋さんでも実際に食べた経験を伝える方が説得力が増す。

I want to acquaint myself with something unexpected. We don’t need to confirm someone’s favorite taste. I love the place even though not popular but has made an impact on me.
It is more interesting to discover places on our own, isn’t it?
