３　Sakuran-bo:さくらんぼ（A Cherry,　Cherries）

＊Sakuran-bo（さくらんぼ）is cherries. Yamagata prefecture is called the "fruit kingdom". Yamagata produces many kinds of fruits. Cherries are representative fruit, as well as la France pears, watermelons, melons, grapes, apples, peaches, and persimmons.　Yamagata produces the best cherries, about seventy percent of them in Japan. The season is from June to the beginning of July, right in the rainy season. (Benibana： a safflower. Prefectural flower: lipsticks; red crimson, natural dye.
