"As you love to plan as much as I do I wanted to share this with you."

On Christmas Day, my friend sent me a wonderful gift, a simple yet inspiring workbook filled with questions to help you reflect on past year, and plan ahead for the new year.

So with a help of “My (Perfectly Imperfect) 2022 Planner” I set my goals and plans of this year and would like to share them.

Intention : TRY OUT and FIND THE WAY IT WORKS
Mainly about
– Relationship
– Where to live, Spain, Japan or else where
– Work, related to the area of my interest

Keyword : #FOCUS and #COMMITMENT

Goal :
– To be with the person who creates my future life with me
　Well, it should not be a challenging thing normally. But at this particular time, covid thing, and going to live foreign country it is challenging. So I put this as my goal to achieve.

– Earn 40% of my income with what I’m truly interested
While trying to earn basic income with other job, I want to challenge myself to earn 40% of my income with what I’m truly interested. Things related #sustainable project #ecofriendly farming #slowlife #food tradition of Japan etc.

– Make my website more professional and update it regularly
I want to make my website as my profile, blog and portfolio where everybody can get an idea of who Monkurious is at a glance.

How
1. Set the To Dos with What, How much, By When, How, Try, Review (Review them each month on my diary)
2. Manage myself well with use of motivational tools and be mindful with what drains me
3. Reach like-minded people and work together
4. Acknowledge the little achievement, know what I could accomplish and pile them up, list them up

Why I set a goal?

Since I came back to Japan my life got noisier compared to the one I had in Spain. Living in the big city, repetitive working life, the society that people do care about each other rather than leaving individuals as they are, those factors kept my mind noisy. It was difficult to stand still, be myself and secure my own happiness if I don’t set a clear goal, I could easily feel empty.

(Of course, there are a lot of beautiful things too. The time with my family, beauty of four seasons of Japan, traditional food, variety of local food culture, the daily life with full of humor in Kansai region, the environment where I don’t need extra effort to communicate. etc)

Right now I’m in Japan and planning to go back to Spain in coming spring.
I have an idea of my dream project that I want to do in the countryside of Japan in mind but also I have a feeling that I want to explore more of eco-friendly farmers and sustainable projects in Spain. Also I like to physically be with my partner not just over the zoom screen…

Where will I be in 3 years? I don’t know yet but I think 2022 will be a key year to decide the direction of my life.

Life always gives you unexpected things but it’s always good to plan and set goals as they will be a compass of your life.
