Oscars 2024: Oppenheimer, Miyazaki Among Winners

Oppenheimer, a solemn three-hour biopic that became an unlikely billion-dollar box-office sensation, was named best picture at the 96th Academy Awards.

That was one of seven awards for Christopher Nolan's movie about J. Robert Oppenheimer's creation of the atomic bomb. Nolan won best director, Cillian Murphy won best actor, while Robert Downey Jr. was awarded best supporting actor.
