今回のお題は「花見」！　HANAMI!! 

In English "Hanami" is "Cherry blossom viewing", walking around parks and riverbanks viewing the blossoms. Or "cherry blossom party", having picnics normally in the park underneath cherry trees with family and friends. 
英語で花見は"Cherry blossom viewing”といい、公園を歩いたり川沿いを歩いて桜を見ることです。または"cherry blossom party”とも言い、公園の桜の木の下で家族や友達とピクニックをすることです。

A few interesting facts about cherry blossoms:
桜について面白いことをいくつか紹介します。

1. Cherry blossom is "sakura" in Japanese, and it’s the country’s national flower. A symbol of renewal and hope, cherry blossoms usher in the arrival of spring each year, and you’ll see a rich profusion of them from late March to mid-April or even early May depending on the location (in Japan).

桜は日本の国花です。希望や再生のシンボルで、毎年春を運び、見頃は３月終わりから４月の半ばか、場所によっては５月初めごろです。


2. There are various beautiful locations to see cherry blossom in Japan, among them the incredible Kinkaku-Ji, or Golden Pavilion, in Kyoto, Chidorigafuchi, Meguro River, and many more. What are some of your favourite cherry blossom spots?

日本には様々な綺麗な桜の名所があります。その中でも、京都の金閣寺（Golden Pavilion）は素晴らしく、千鳥ヶ淵、目黒川など、たくさんあります。あなたの好きな桜の名所はどこですか？


3. Japan is home to over 200 different kinds of cherry blossom - WOW! The most popular being "Somei Yoshino".
日本には２００種類の桜が存在します。すごいですね！

最も有名なのはソメイヨシノです。

都内は残念ながら、ちょうど満開の先週末、雨でしたね…。
でも、新芽がでて緑とピンクがまざった桜も綺麗ですよね！
