In 2005, he relocated to Nukabira in Hokkaido, now known as Nukabira Gensenkyo. Since then, he has consistently documented the Taushubetsu Bridge. 2020 marked 15 years since he began capturing its essence, which coincided with the launch of the "Taushubetsu Journal" series. Iwasaki, who has showcased his work through photo exhibitions and photo books, established this series to unveil an even greater portion of his vast photo collection. The Taushubetsu Bridge is a concrete arch bridge nestled within the Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido. This bridge was constructed in 1937 as a railway bridge. Currently, it undergoes a cycle of submersion and re-emergence throughout the year, steadily heading towards its eventual collapse. Due to times when it's submerged and invisible beneath the water, and the anticipated collapse in the near future, it has earned the moniker "The Phantom Bridge".
