私は、私の台所を「おままごとらぼ」または「らぼ」と呼んでいます。

「おままごとらぼ」には、たくさんの愛と好奇心が詰まっています。

"Omamagoto-lavo", Me and Okinawa

The blue sea and blue sky of the Okinawan islands always make my mind clear.
The gentle nature inspires my art.

I named my little kitchen ”Omamagoto-lavo” and enjoy art  there just like children play.

"Omamagoto" means playing house.

Lavo is a coined word.
Lavo=love+labo

Feel full of love and curiosity.
Feel the Okinawan nature.
Feel your mind getting clear.

Let's enjoy "Omamagoto " together, no matter where we are from or how old we are.

The Okinawan islands are located in the southernmost of Japan.

沖縄 筆文字『らぼ書』
Lavography

『らぼ書』は、私の小さな台所から生まれました。
私は、小さな器や道具を使い、まるで子供のように、料理や家事を楽しんでいます。そんな台所で、絵を描くよう筆文字遊びをしています。
私の台所を『おままごとらぼ』と呼んでいます。
ある時、友人が私の書く文字と言葉が欲しいと言ってくれました。その時から毎日のように書いています。
以前の私は、文字を書く事に、少しコンプレックスも感じていました。
でも、私が好きな文字は、決して上手なものでは無く、どちらかと言うと、ちょっとクセがあり心に残る字、クスッと笑えホッとする字、たまにインパクトのある力強い字です。
自分らしさを求めて書いているうちに『弾む自由な心で、大好きな沖縄の自然に馴染む強くて優しい書』を意識するようになりました。

『らぼ書』を通して、たくさんの人に書くことを楽しんでもらう活動をしています。

私の夢は、沖縄から、全国、そして、海外にまで、『らぼ書』Lavographyが広がることです。
小さな種、小さな活動が、笑顔と共に、たくさんの花を咲かせ広がっていくことを日々願っています。

“Lavography” was born in my small kitchen “Omamagoto Lavo.”
I’ve been fascinated by handcrafts and drawing my entire life, just like a little kid playing house. Calligraphy is one of these pleasures. One day, my friend said “I like your handwriting. Can you write something for me?” Since then, I began to write my thoughts and messages for my friends hoping it may make them happy.  
Before that, I was not confident in my handwriting at all. Yet, I have realised the writings that attract me are not just “good” or “neat” but unique, warm, strong, and sometimes funny. That helped me find and establish my style that is “writing with a free mind” and “strong and gentle writing like the nature in Okinawa.”
I started “Lavography” to introduce the joy of handwriting to many people. I really hope “Lavography” will spread from Okianwa to Japan and the world, and  bring smiles everywhere.
