I love this day.
But I do not go out to join parties. 
Instead, I just celebrate within the dark depths of my mind. 
I enjoy reflecting upon myself, my own abilities, and searching for ways to be stronger. This isn't some rationally planned out seminar about growth, personal management, or goals. I just breath the air; chilled and ripe with Chaos.
Even if it's only my imagination, I cherish the presence of those spirits who've traveled from the other side to join us in a night of solidarity.
I wish not to reject them, but instead I offer my respect and acceptance. Humans are too comfortable in their own world and, in avoiding the unknown, they will never gain this kind of untapped power and knowledge.
I pray that my tolerance will be rewarded with a small portion of this, along with good fortune.
These may be just my own selfish wishes, but is that not what Halloween is for? We beg for our desires to be fulfilled, and if not, we threaten mischievous mayhem. 
That last part is a bit of an exaggeration. I wouldn't mock that which I don't understand. For better of worse, I am not as clever as Jack of the Lantern and I certainly would never try to trick a devil. 

Regardless of how we celebrate, let's remember to stay open minded and safe. Happy Halloween.
