片目のモノノ怪の物語とは、片目の日本の化け物の物語です。

化け物のことを日本語では「モノノ怪」とか「妖怪」と言います。

Originally the drawing was analog, but I didn't like the scan results, so I ended up spending a lot of time redrawing almost digitally. It was hard because I couldn't see the end.

「ひとつめたんたん」は片目の妖怪たちのほのぼのした話です。
妖怪の話ですがホラー要素はほぼありません。
作画はもともとアナログ派でしたがスキャン結果が気に入らず、結局ほとんどデジタルで描き直して多くの時間を掛けてしまいました。終わりが見えず大変でした。

This work appeared in a commercial magazine as a complete episode 30 years ago.
It was 6 pages at the time, but this time it is 8 pages.
There are thirteen episodes in all.
I wanted to make one episode 8 pages, so it may be a little stuffed up.
If you draw a large picture, it may be 10 pages or more, but I was particular about making it 8 pages.

この作品は30年前に一話完結ものとして商業誌に載っています。
当時6ページでしたが今回8ページにしています。
全部で十三話になります。
一話を8ページにしたかったのでちょっと詰め込み気味かもしれません。
絵を大きく描けば10ページ以上になるのかもしれないのですが、8ページにすることにこだわりました。

The first episode was a happy ending by expelling the cause of the misfortune of a person named Hataro, but I thought that it was a bit terrible even though it was a monster story. That's why I wanted to draw the underlying problem of this story and finish it properly, so I increased the volume to 13 episodes.

第一話はハタロウという人物の不幸の原因を追い出してハッピーエンドだったのですが、化け物の物語とは言えちょっとひどいよねと思っていました。それでこの物語の根底にある問題をしっかり描いてちゃんと終わらせたいと思い十三話に大増量した次第です。

The protagonists are Hitotsume-Kozō and Bakeneko-don.
They are famous monsters in Japan.
"Hitotsume-kozo" is a monster of a child with only one eye, and "Bakeneko-don" is a monster of a cat. Kozō is a child who is practicing a monk at a temple, or simply a boy.
In the future, Hitotsume-Kozō may be referred to as “One-eye kidmon”, and the Bakeneko-don may be referred to as ” Goblin cat”. Kidmon is a monster in the shape of a kid (kid + monster), a name created by Hiroko Hoshiragi.

I used to write under my real name, but it was often mistakenly called. That's why I decided to use PN (pen name).
I wrote "Hoshiragi Hiroko ・ poshinon" in the creator name, but "poshinon" is an HN (handle name) that I have been using elsewhere. Leave it for a while so that you can identify it as the same person.

以前は本名で執筆活動していましたが、間違って呼ばれることが多かったです。だからPN（ペンネーム）を使うことにしました。
クリエイター名に「Hoshiragi Hiroko・poshinon」と書いていますが、「poshinon」とはほかで使い続けてきたHN（ハンドルネーム）です。同一人物だと分かるように、しばらくの間残しておきます。
