月一で行っている訪問監査、今回は特別ゲストとして私のフィリピン人の友達が同行しました。彼の仕事がお休みだったことと、昼食後に時間があったため、彼が「フィリピン人実習生を訪問してみたい！」と言うので一緒に行ってきました。
実習生たちは3ヶ月前に日本の地を踏んだばかり。日本語の難しさに戦っていましたが、そこに私の友人が駆けつけ、日本語マスターのノウハウを教えてくれました。
1）「メモはマジック！」 分からないことは帰宅後、リサーチ！
2）電子辞書は最高の武器。分からない言葉はすぐチェック。
3）日本人との会話は日本語力アップのショートカット！間違えても恐れずにチャレンジ。
4）寮の時間は日本語オンリーゾーン！友達との会話も日本語で。
私自身、英語を少し話すことができますが、日々使わなければ「英語力の冬眠」に入ってしまいます。
日本語、それは一つの大きな山。しかし、仕事でのスムーズなコミュニケーションのためには、この山を越える必要があるのです。

Once a month, I conduct an on-site audit, and this time, I had a special guest – my Filipino friend. He was off work that day and, after having lunch together, with some spare time on his hands, he exclaimed, "I'd love to visit the Filipino trainees!" And so, we did.
These trainees had just set foot in Japan three months ago. They were grappling with the intricacies of the Japanese language when my friend stepped in, revealing some golden tips for mastering Japanese.

• "Notes are magic!" If something's unclear, research it when you get home.

• Electronic dictionaries are your best weapon. Instantly look up unfamiliar words.

• Conversing with Japanese folks is a shortcut to leveling up in Japanese! Don't be afraid to make mistakes; just dive in.

• Make the dorm a 'Japanese Only' zone! Even chats with friends should be in Japanese.

I myself can speak a bit of English, but without practice, my English skills hibernate.
Japanese is like climbing a colossal mountain. But to ensure smooth communication at work, we need to conquer this peak.
