御宿について / About the inn

宮ヶ瀬がダム湖になる前に建てられた養蚕農家の家屋で、湖ができる前に現在の場所に移築されました。木造平屋建てで、現在の家では見ることのできない立派な梁や柱が特徴です。

This is a sericulture farmer's house that was built before Miyagase area became a dam lake, and was relocated to its current location before the lake was created. It is a one-story wooden structure, and is characterized by splendid beams and pillars that cannot be seen in Japanese modern houses.

家守（管理者、地域コミュニティ・マネジャー）が住み込みで常駐していて、3つの予約個室があります。1部屋はツインベッドの「桜の部屋」、2部屋はシングルの「楓の部屋」と「椿の部屋」です。
もともとは二間続きの畳の大部屋を区切り、個室を作りました。屋根やそれぞれの壁には断熱材と遮音材も入れています。古民家でも快適に過ごせるように、地元の大工さんが工夫を施してくれました。

掘り炬燵（こたつ）のある和室とキッチン、浴室、トイレ2つは共有スペースです。住み込みの家守（管理人/地域コミュニティ・マネジャー）や他の利用者とシェアしながら使いましょう。

A Japanese-style room with a horigotatsu, a kitchen, a bathroom, and two toilets are shared spaces. Let's use it while sharing with live-in yamori（owner/manager）and other users.

冷蔵庫の棚の置き場所は、部屋ごとに名前が書いてあります。棚や冷蔵庫にある調味料を使う際は、1日100円をキッチン窓の箱にお支払いください（たくさん使ったときは気持ち多めにお支払いしてくれると助かります）。また、キッチン中央にあるカゴ棚も部屋ごとに名前があるので、食料品を保管する際などにご利用ください。冷蔵庫のお茶は自由にお飲みくださいね。

Each room has a name on the refrigerator shelf. When using seasonings on the shelf or refrigerator, please pay 100 yen per day to the box in the kitchen window (if you use a lot, it will be helpful if you pay more). 浴室の洗濯機（洗剤含む）と乾燥機もご利用可能ですが、それぞれ200円のお支払いをお願いしています。洗面台の箱にお支払いください。
浴室を使う際は、他の利用者に配慮して、排水溝にたまった髪の毛などをゴミ箱に捨ててもらえると嬉しいです。
乾燥機に備え付けた棚にあるハンドタオルは、自由にお使いください。

You can use the washing machine (including detergent) and dryer in the bathroom, but we ask you to pay 200 yen each. Please pay in the box on the washbasin. When using the bathroom, please be considerate of other users, and I would appreciate it if you could throw away hair and other garbage in the drain after use.

滞在時の懸念点 / Concerns during stay

道路の向かいの家で飼われている複数の猟犬の鳴き声が、耳障りに感じることがあります。また、日本の田舎にはよく見られる光景ですが、ローリング族という車やバイクで田舎の公道を大きな音を鳴らして無防備に走る迷惑な人たちがいます。特に夜間に出現します。
快適な睡眠を阻害され不快に思われるかもしれないことが、とても心配なので、各個室に耳栓を用意しています。ご自由にご利用ください。

The barking hounds in the house across the road can be annoying. Also, although it is a common sight in the Japanese countryside, there are annoying people called "Rolling-zoku" who run defenselessly on public roads making loud noises on their cars and motorcycles. They appear especially at night.

公共交通機関で来る場合 / By train and bus

小田急線「新宿」駅から「本厚木」駅まで45分、「本厚木」駅から「宮ヶ瀬」行きのバス（かなちゅうバス）に乗り換えて、45分。バスは1時間に1本の頻度で運行しています。

45 minutes from Odakyu Line "Shinjuku" station to "Hon-Atsugi" station, change to a bus（Kanachu） bound for "Miyagase" from "Hon-Atsugi" station, 45 minutes. Buses run once an hour.

土日祝日に来るなら、かなちゅうバスの「フリーパス」がお得です。全路線1,050円で乗り放題、同伴者も1名まで無料。お盆休みや年末年始も使えます。チケットはバス車内で販売していて、PASMOやSuicaでも購入できます。

清川村エリアは乗降自由です。車窓に湖が見えてきて、最初の信号を左折し、橋を渡ります。そこから500メートル先の「宮ヶ瀬駐在所」が目印です。向かいが宿なので、運転手さんに駐在所の前で降ろしてもらいましょう。

You can get on and off freely in the Kiyokawa village area. You can see the Miyagase lake from the bus window, turn left at the first traffic light, and cross the bridge. 500 meters ahead is the Miyagase police box. The inn is across the street, so ask the driver to drop you off in front of the police station.

車で来る場合 / By car

御宿には無料駐車場がありますので、車でのご来訪を歓迎します。
東京方面からお越しの場合は、中央自動車道か東名高速道路の2つのルートがあります。

The inn has a free parking lot, so we welcome visitors by car. If coming from Tokyo, there are two routes:
the Chuo Expressway or the Tomei Expressway.

1. 首都高速道路から中央自動車道で八王子JCT経由で厚木/東名方面の圏央道を走り、相模原ICを出ます。国道412号/相模湖/宮ケ瀬ダム の標識に従って県道へ行き、「宮ヶ瀬ダム」を目指してください。東京から約1時間5分程度で到着します。

2. 東京ICで東名高速道路を進み、伊勢原JCTから伊勢原大山ICを出ます。県道を伊勢原市・厚木市を通って清川村へ入ります。東京から約1時間半程度で到着します。

1. From the Metropolitan Expressway, take the Chuo Expressway via the Hachioji JCT and drive on the Ken-o Expressway in the direction of Atsugi/Tomei and exit the Sagamihara IC. Follow the signs for National Route 412/Lake Sagami/Miyagase Dam. It takes about 1 hour and 5 minutes from Tokyo.

2. Take the Tomei Expressway at the Tokyo IC and exit the Isehara Oyama IC at the Isehara JCT. Enter Kiyokawa Village through Isehara City and Atsugi City. It takes about an hour and a half from Tokyo.

アクティビティ / How to fun in Miyagase

清川村の宮ヶ瀬エリアは、ハイキングや登山の他、ジョギングやサイクリングやツーリング客も一年を通して多く、アクティビティも楽しめます。

In the Miyagase area of ​​Kiyokawa Village, you can enjoy activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, jogging, cycling and touring throughout the year.

ハイキングや登山をしたい方は、2時間から半日がかりの複数コースがあるので、お気軽に家守（管理人）に聞いてください。景色がいいのは半日コースの仏果（ぶっか）山と高取（たかとり）山です。ただし、丹沢山地と言われるこのエリア一体は、春から夏にかけてヤマビルが出るので、服装には注意しましょう。

If you want to hike or climb mountains, there are multiple courses that take from 2 hours to half a day, so please feel free to ask the yamori (owner/manager). The best views are the half-day courses of Mt. Bukka and Mt. Takatori. However, in this area called Tanzawa mountain range, leech appear from spring to summer, so be careful with your clothes.

ジョギングにも最適な立地です。3〜5kmの軽いジョグであれば、御宿の裏手にある湖畔園地の敷地内を周回するのがオススメです。もう少し長い距離を走るのであれば、信号がほとんどない宮ヶ瀬湖を囲む歩道が良いでしょう。

The location is perfect for jogging. For a light jog of 3-5km, we recommend circling the grounds of the lakeside park behind the inn. If you want to run a little longer, the sidewalks surrounding Lake Miyagase, where there are few traffic lights, are good.

宮ヶ瀬はサイクリストの聖地「ヤビツ峠」に向かう道もあり、特に週末や祝日の天気の良い日は自転車に乗っている人をたくさん見かけます。
ガッツリと自転車をこぐのではなく、観光目的で緩く自転車を乗りたい場合は、御宿の電動自転車を無料でお貸しするのでご利用ください。電動自転車なので、坂道も楽にこげますよ。

Miyagase also has a road leading to Yabitsu Pass, a popular for cyclists. If you want to ride a bicycle for sightseeing purposes instead of pedaling hard, please use the inn's electric bicycle for free. You can easily go down slopes.

私は釣りは詳しくないのですが、宿泊者さんにご紹介していただき、近所のマス釣りスポットへ行ってきました。宮ヶ瀬近辺に複数あるそうですが、私の行った「早戸川国際マス釣場」は景観も美しかったです。ルアーとテンカラで、20匹釣りました。下処理をした後、御宿へ持って帰って宿泊者さんたちと皆で調理をし、ワイワイと美味しくいただきました。

I'm not familiar with fishing, but a guest introduced me to a nearby trout fishing spot. I heard that there are several in the Miyagase area, but the scenery of the Hayatogawa International Trout Fishing Spot I went to was so beautiful. I caught 20 fish with lures and Tenkara. We brought them back to inn and cooked all together with the guests.

清川村には温泉施設「別所の湯」（清川村煤ヶ谷1619）があります。ただし、徒歩では行けません。バスか車になります。
車で来る人は、隣の相模原市にある「いやしの湯」（相模原市緑区青根807-2）がオススメです。少し温度が低めの天然温泉で、広々としたお風呂です。山々に囲まれた立地の温泉なので、景観も美しいです。家守も時々温泉へ行くので、タイミング合えば車に同乗できますよ。

Kiyokawa Village has a hot spring facility "Bessho-no-yu" (1619 Susugaya, Kiyokawa Village). However, it cannot be reached on foot. It will be a bus or a car.
For those coming by car, we recommend "Iyashi-no-yu" (807-2 Aone, Midori-ku, Sagamihara City) in the neighboring city of Sagamihara. It's a natural hot spring with a slightly lower temperature, and it's a spacious bath. The hot spring is surrounded by mountains, so the scenery is beautiful. Yamori（owner/manager）sometimes goes to there, so if the timing is right, you can ride with the car.

周辺の店舗情報 / Shopping

徒歩圏内で行けるお店は限られています。電車やバスなど公共交通機関で来られる際は、乗車前のスーパーやコンビニで必要なものは買ってきた方がいいです。もしくは、バスの路線上にある清川村の「クリエイト」か「道の駅」で途中下車し、そこで買い物を済ませてから来ましょう（清川村内はバスの乗降は自由です）。

Shops within walking distance are limited. When coming by public transportation such as trains and buses, it is better to buy what you need at a supermarket or convenience store before boarding. Alternatively, get off at Kiyokawa Village's "CREATE" or "Michi-no-eki" on the bus route and come after shopping there (you can get on and off the bus freely in Kiyokawa Village).

車で来られる人は、御宿から10分弱の「クリエイト愛川半原店」（愛川町半原3877-1）かスーパー「たからや」（愛川町半原2454-1）か「セブンイレブン」（愛川町半原2395-1）が同じ通り沿いにあるので便利です。
連泊など長期滞在する人は、タイミングが合えば家守の買い物時に車に同乗することもできます。

If you can come by car, you can go to "Create Aikawa Hanbara" (3877-1 Hanbara, Aikawa-cho), supermarket "Takaraya" (2454-1 Hanbara, Aikawa-cho), or "Seven-Eleven" (2395 Hanbara, Aikawa-cho), which is less than 10 minutes from the inn.  The shops on the same street so it's convenient. 手しごと商品の利用・販売 / Use and sale of Japanese traditional craft products

「手しごとの家」の名前の通り、御宿には日本の伝統工芸などの手しごと商品を取り揃えています。
お皿やコップは、日本の伝統的工芸品に指定されている栃木県の益子焼の陶器です。この若手職人さんは沖縄でも修行経験があり、デザインが南国を彷彿とするような鮮やかな色合いが魅力です。食器を使う中で、手しごとの良さに触れてもらえると嬉しいです。

This inn has Japanese traditional crafts. The plates and cups are Mashiko-yaki pottery from Tochigi Prefecture, which is designated as a traditional Japanese craft. The young craftsman has training experience in Okinawa too, so the vivid colors of the design are reminiscent of the south island. I would be happy if you could touch the goodness of handwork while staying.

展示棚にある工芸品の中で、旅人向けに伝統工芸のベテラン職人で指物師の黒崎啓弘さんと開発した「旅する食器」は購入可能です。グラスにもなる器の中に、お箸とスプーンとフォークがコンパクトに収納されています。

すべて木材で作られていて、桜・楓（カエデ）・栓（センノキ）・欅（ケヤキ）・松・杉・栗・紫檀（シタン）・樺（カバ）などを組み合わせた「杢彩（もくさい）」が特長です。

何度も刷り込んだ「拭き漆」で仕上げています。漆は育てる年数がかかる分、希少な素材であり、木の質感を活かしつつ、木を守る役目や殺菌効果もあります。使えば使うほど深い艶のある色合いになっていきます。漆が生きていると言われる所以です。そのため、管理には気をつけて、日差しの強いところに置かないように大切に保管してください。
