静岡浅間神社のお祭り「廿日会祭（はつかえさい）」にはお踟（ねり）が山車を曳き、この町内も巡行しました。

宮ヶ崎町

‘Miya’ literally means a Shinto shrine, and ‘saki’ means ahead or in front.

「みや」は文字通り神社を、そして「さき」は先、もしくは前を意味します。

It refers to a place in front of the Shizuoka Sengen Shrine.

それは静岡浅間神社の前の場所を指しています。

By 1604, this district was included in the premises of the Shizuoka Sengen Shrine.

1604年までこの町内は静岡浅間神社の敷地内にありました。

Miyagasaki-cho district flourished as the place where many shops operated for the visitors of Shizuoka Sengen Shrine.

宮ヶ崎町は静岡浅間神社の参拝客のための多くのお店が営業している場所として栄えました。

In the Edo period, this Shinto shrine was one of the most popular destinations for travelers along the Tokaido Route.

江戸時代、この神社は東海道沿いで旅人たちにとって最も人気のある訪問地の一つでした。

In 1634, the Kambe, Asama, and Otoshimioya Shrine buildings were constructed, spending huge amounts of gold coins that the third shogun Iemitsu donated.

1634年、神部（かんべ）神社、浅間（あさま）神社、大歳御祖（おおとしみおや）神社の建物は3代将軍家光が寄進した大量の小判を費やして建築されました。

The elaborate and solemn structures stunned people, along with Nikko Toshogu Shrine.

緻密で荘厳な建築物は日光東照宮と並んで人々を圧倒しました。

Unfortunately, the buildings built during the period of the third shogun, Iemitsu, were burned down in fires in 1773 and 1788.

残念なことに3代将軍家光の時代に建てられた建物は1773年と1788年の火災で焼失しました。

The present structures that can be seen were built at the end of the Edo period.

現在見られる建造物は幕末に建てられました。

Now, there is an ongoing substantial repair to the structure for maintenance and to make it more pleasing to the eyes.

現在、大規模修繕が進行中です。そのおかげで建造物が維持され、外観もよりきれいになっています。

In the Meiji period, the address of Shizuoka Sengen Shrine also became Miyagasaki-cho district.

明治時代、静岡浅間神社の住所も宮ヶ崎町になりました。

There is a stream in front of the Shizuoka Sengen Shrine.

静岡浅間神社の前には小さい水の流れがあります。

It used to be a branch of the Abe River about 500 years ago.

それは500年ほど前には、安倍川の支流でした。

It was called ‘Kiga-gawa’ (the North River), which used to flow into the northern area, Asahata.

「北川」と呼ばれ、北側の地区、麻機（あさはた）に流れていました。

Miyagasaki-cho district has so many historical events because of its geographical location near Shizuoka Sengen Shrine.

浅間神社の近くという地理的特徴のため、宮ヶ崎町には本当に多くの歴史的出来事がたくさんあります。
