私の学校時代は、当たり前のように運動会で組み体操が行われていた。

タイトル写真ほどの高さではなく、３段か４段だったと思う。この状態で教師が笛を吹いたら、生徒たちはいっせいに左を向き、右を向き、最後の笛で崩れるということをやらされた。

小学生の俺たちはサーカスの動物か？

今思うと、滑稽なことだ。

この4コマ漫画を見て、そんなことを思い出した。

この記事によると、今でも運動会で組み体操をさせる小学校が三重県にある。しかも裸足でやけどさせて。

私の小学校でも運動会は裸足だった。打ちっぱなしのコンクリート床のトイレに行くと、足裏がとても冷たかった感触を今でも覚えている。

いまどき、裸足で組み体操？

この学校の伝統なのだろう。

三重県教育委員会の『学校管理下における 危機管理マニュアル』によると、組み体操は、「各市町、学校や児童生徒の実態に即した事故防止対策を十分図り、児童生徒や保護者、 地域等の理解のもと実施する」そうだ。

組み体操を危機として認識していることが笑わせる。

一方、神戸市教育委員会は、「運動会・体育大会における組体操は禁止する」という報告書を公開している。

生まれ育つ場所によって、えらい違いである。

I wonder if there are any schools that still require grappling gymnastics at  a sports day?

When I was at school, gymnastics exercises were commonly held at a sports day.

It wasn't as tall as the title photo, I think it was 3 or 4 tiers. In this state, when the teacher blew the whistle, the students were forced to turn to the left, then to the right, and then collapse at the final whistle.

Are we students circus animals?

Now that I think about it, it's ridiculous.

When I saw this 4-panel comic, I was reminded of that.

According to this article, an elementary school in Mie Prefecture still requires students to do grappling exercises during sports days. And they made elementary school students go barefoot and got burned.

Even in my elementary school, we had to go barefoot on sports day. I still remember how cold the soles of my feet felt when I went to the bathroom on the raw concrete floor.

Barefoot gymnastics these days?

I guess it's a tradition at this school.

The Mie Prefectural Board of Education's "Manual for Crisis Management Under School Management" states as follows :

Grappling exercises will be implemented with the understanding of students, parents, and the local community, with sufficient accident prevention measures tailored to the actual circumstances of each city, town, school, and student.
It makes me laugh that grappling gymnastics is recognized as a crisis.

Meanwhile, the Kobe City Board of Education has released a report stating that "grappling exercises is prohibited at sports days and athletic events."

There are huge differences depending on where you are born and raised.
